I don't know about Vimalamitra, but Padmasambhava is said to be physically immortal, as in, still walking among the living.
There are, of course, many accounts of siddhas from tibetan and hindu traditions dissapearing and even burning in kundalini fire, leaving a linga behind (or nothing).
