That's how black magick works.   People spread it without even knowing, it's just programmed into them.  And spreads through ignorance.
Average men are kind of hooked to their black magic. 
The sorcery that you talk about below, is not what CC refers to as black magic. 
when you want to change an outcome to your advantage and you are aware
of ways to do it that involve sorcery and you employ those ways
consciously with the intent to control or destroy. Lots of people
practice ill intent, but only semi aware of it so I don't classify that
as black magic even though the end result is the same...control over
people.
