        The Darker Side of NDEs I realize that the following accounts make up quite a lengthy post here. But there are so friggin many of these things that even just blurbs from some of them take up huge space.

There seemed to be many voices coming from different sources, but the underlying message was to pay attention to what I was going to see and I was suppose to remember. "DO NOT FORGET!" I began to think about my life and I wandered if it was going to be like my auntie used to tell me that our lives would be played back and we would be judged accordingly. But as I was thinking about it I could SEE all of the things I did throughout my life just as they happened but faster; showing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Everything I was proud of and every dirty little secret I kept hidden from everybody. But, there it was, only this time I felt remorse, fear, and shame for my indiscretions. I could understand very clearly that we all have negative things in our past, but became aware that we must account for all that we do.
I could see people below me at what felt like another level. I didn't feel as though I were floating above them, but just that I was at a higher viewing position, but my feet rested on air. I could see thousands and thousands, if not millions of people moving about aimlessly. Each person emitted strong feelings of foreboding, pain, and fear. "These are the lost," a voice told me. Then, as though it was reading my mind, "This IS real." I began to feel afraid. But even my fear paled compared to what I felt coming from the people.

A screen appeared far in front of me, depicting the negative aspects of my character in HUMAN FORMS. They became animated & started to attack me. I was kicked & punched. I felt the pain of each contact. Curiously, I felt no need to defend myself or fight off my attackers. They then moved backwards as though they were on rewind & got back onto the screen as they were before they animated.

Quote:I briefly "saw" both what would be considered Heaven and its counterpart. The terrible torment of those in "Hell" was far worse than the fire and brimstone crowd preach. It was something akin to spending eternity with those who would harm others in the same fashion as yourself, or conversely eternal loneliness for those who would, for lack of a better phrase, "fleece" others. The strange thing about the dark place was that it was place (and no place at the same time) that you went to because of yourself. No one sent you there but yourself, and by the same token only you could get yourself out. Eternity seemed to be more of how you wished it. While Hell was well populated, with millions of souls, it only made a very small dent in the total population of the afterlife. I was struck by the accuracy of "What Dreams May Come". I saw just a couple of months later. Although not the best movie, its portrayal of the afterlife is closer than anything I've ever been able to articulate.

There was a window that overlooked the city outside but when I tried to look at it everything was black. Then I heard a noise like a swooping sound like a large pair of wings. I saw myself in the bed I was about 12 inches over my body then I heard a very low tone I looked down to my feet and saw that there was a being there I felt negative feelings surrounding me . The being looked at me , its eyes were red and he had large wings . The being opened his wings and the wings engulfed the entire room. It said we need you and the powers that you have.

evil. His right hand kept beckoning me inward in kind of a rolling hand motion. I became very afraid. Sounds like soul wrenching screams (not screams of pain, but screams of the soul), emitted from the fire behind him. I tried to pull back but discovered I could not.
On either side of me, there appeared "soul-guides." Their guidance provided the energy that kept me moving forward. I continued to try to pull back but discovered, as I had no physical form, I had nothing to pull back with. I felt like a huge magnet was steadily pulling me into the room/the fire. I started screaming, "Let me die." I knew I was talking about the impossible; I was asking to let my soul die. Repeatedly, I screamed, "Let me die," as it was preferable to entering the doorway.

I can see my body from above, I move right beside my body which at this moment, was connected to lots of tubes/pipes. All of a sudden an angel appears, wearing combat vestments as a soldier, but white, - he was about 5 meters tall- I ask him: Who are you? And he replies: Do you care? I am Michael and I have to bring you to another place. I feel like being suctioned/blown downwards.I reach a lake of blood and rotten burnt flesh. The smell of putrid flesh was unbearable.
Holes would open in the earth, at every step , and horrible worms would come up. I raised my eyes and saw a man bending down and a demon raping him and the demon was donkey-headed. To the right I saw the anus of a giant, defecating demons. To the left I saw people dancingthey wanted to stop, but the demons did not let them stop.

Then the voices started to laugh and say that this is what my life caused me to have. I asked where i was and what was going to happen next. This is not how she said heaven was like. Then i could hear my thoughts out loud. The voices then said that there was not heaven for me. That this was the heaven that was to be mine. Then one of the said that it was feeding time.
Then i felt like i was pushed back into a wall and my arms pinned back to the wall. I felt totally helpless and then i saw what looked like hair ball with shark teeth come at me. I looked to my right side and saw that the voices were little monsters that were turning into the hairballs and back into monsters. They were the ugliest looking things i have seen and yet to see. They looked like snakes crossed with bats crossed with something that had horns. They had bodies that was like that of a snake and it had wings. They arms and hands look like those of a bat. Their faces look like snakes and they had fangs like a bat and a snake. On the top of their heads they had horns, but not like the horns of a bull or a ram. They had pointed horns but nothing that i could say was earthly.
As they turned into hairballs i asked what was happening to me. They laughed and told me to shut up and i could hear my feeling out loud. Then they started coming at me and as they did, i felt sick to my stomach. I remember feeling why is this happening? Where is my mom and where is God? Then i felt them feeding on me. I looked down at my what i thought was my body and parts where gone. I then looked at them and my body parts where in their mouths. Then one of them said "We told you already that this is your heaven and we are your God."

I was scared, and curled up, floating alone as more of those... things noticed me. They began to come towards me, almost running, making terrible sounds. I held my arm out for some reason, it just seemed right to do. The Raven landed on my arm, and gave off a loud caw, which seemed to chase the beasts off. I woke up in a hospital bed

There were unexpected bifurcations inside the tunnel; I turned to the right, went straight for some time and then changed directions again. I felt as if I was disintegrating inside the tunnel, i.e. my body lost consistency and I felt that the tunnel completely wrapped around me. I felt dizziness and was moving in spirals inside the tunnel. It is something indescribable. After a blow, I found myself in a viscous sea of mud. There were a lot of people with me and we were trying to escape from it but could not. I was completely desperate; these people were suffering a lot, they were in torment (while I remember this, my skin goes bristled and my body recalls the horrible sensation). I then thought that this was HELL and I thought OH My! This looks like Dantes hell and also remember thinking he must have done this trip and also why do I deserve hell?

I hit the ground and landed in what seemed to be a pile of bones, but I felt no pain but I was freaked out. I don't know what made me want to keep going, but it felt like I needed to. It was extremely dark and I walked down a stairway into what looked almost like an underground stream with a small walkway on the side. I exited the flight of stairs and as soon as I did, I heard moaning that made me get cold chills down my spine. I looked at the stream that was a bit lower then me which was to my left and there were dead bodies floating in it started to freak out and cried. I wiped my eyes and started walking some more and then I asked, "where am I?"

The spider glowed a fluorescent orange color and instantly I knew the spider was color coded according to his crime that put him in this dark place.
Then I learned this spider was the leader of a group of spirit beings that once was on the earth to keep and care for the earth and the people on it and I knew the time line for this being was during the time of the Adam and Eve episode spoken of in the Bible and this being was called a "watcher" by the God of all things. This spider was placed here in this cave/jail because here on the earth was where he committed his terrible crime against God and man. All these things came to me through telepathy from who I do not know as this episode was taking place.
Then I noticed a door in the distance with bars over a small window in the door and this confirmed what I was told about this place being a jail. The spider had friends also in this great darkness they too glowed in different colors according to their transgressions, all colors were present it seemed. The spiders friends were snakes scorpions and other creepy crawling things and they all had human beings heads on them just like the spider. The orange spider then crawled down the wall beside me and started to talk to me. He said that he was going to torment me for eternity as he knew I was very frightened and had no idea of what was what, and I knew that the spider also was gaining knowledge about me through telepathy as he spoke to me just as I had about him. As the spider spoke to me his face would twist and distort as if he were in great pain and could not control the things he was feeling.
He appeared to be totally miserable but just as determined to torment me nevertheless and seemed to take great pleasure in doing so. I decided to run at that point to try to escape from this doom of darkness I found myself in but the things I could see glowing all around me throughout this cave scared me so bad that I had become frozen in great fear like I have never experienced because I did not know what might be in the cave in the darkness that I could not see, so I was frozen and could not move. I could not look at the face of the spider any longer because of fear

I really thought it was my end; everything was so dark and deserted, I felt so lost and desperate when suddenly my body started falling down, at an incredible speed; I felt that I was nearing a dark and gloomy and nobody would hear me. I was so desperate that I started crying for help. Then I felt my brothers voice who yelled my name and I woke up very scared. I realized that purgatory does exist and it is horrible. I think I lived this experience so I can tell people that it is true that this horrible place (that Christians call purgatory or sorrow place) exists in another dimension. I do not recommend anyone to go to that place.

Nothing to worry about. Probably just random misfirings of the brain during loss of consciousness. Now if we could just nail down those trickier accounts where witnesses corroborate events that the unconscious victims somehow managed to see in great detail. Darn it!
