The technosphere is a virtually parralel world that has been made by humans psychological response to artificial stimuli.

If we begin with art from 100+ years a such as this woodcut print of a scene from the plague.. we know that a person on seeing this image in real life at the time would be very unlikely to be suspiscious of the image itself.
if anything the piece of paper they held in their hand would be a stark polarity to the reality of death all around them.

and a person outside the city who had little risk of plague apon seeing the image would be unlikely to impulsivly burn it so as to avoid catching the plague.
what i am trying to illustrate is that the media was seperate to reality.

a woodcut image was not esoteric i its own right.

If we cut to later day and the advent of the B movie or the 3D specks movie or blue movie pornography we find something different in that hoardes of people would scream at a specific film, or ranks of perverts would cluster in film houses and "not scream".

The perception of media began to "carve" its own space. or in truth people themselves through their emotional connection to film began to "run from it" when it was scary and be drawn into it where it was sexual (sometimes).
effectivly film became wildly isolated and privated at the same time from reality.
as people would sit in a safe environment and have fear because of a movie or sit in a movie house full of dirty old men and feel sexual because of the images and sound being piped into perception.

soon the same thing began to happen with the home televisions.

Then came space invaders and the chance for people to reverse the flow and interact with their television rather than be just its twitching subject. people leapt on this opportunity to grapple the thing that had influenced them in their passivity.

then came trading and the computer , working from home. people began to feel very real fear as their use of the media interface litterally bankrupted or made them rich. put their homes and lives at risk or granted them a new tonal expression.
a core within media which had been lost since the first B movie was becoming unstable, no longer a space carved out by illusory "fight or flight" response , but actually concrete cause and effect.

then came the cryptocrash.
and literally millions of people around the world all in unision all felt their hearts sink.
and felt a fear in media which was not entertainment.
more dangerous than a 17th century woodcut print of a plague.
as these people were all around the planet.
you could map them using ip addresses and overlay their position on google earth.
the technosphere. TECHNOSPHERE.

The orientation only needed a couple of tweeks to become a spirtual grounding for the entire species.
