There was once a young man
Who gave his entire heart
He submitted to nature
From the early start
He spent his life
Loving those near.
Such a courageous life
Decades spent on doing
What was RIGHT.
With his gift of sight
He earned his place
At the round table
Of the righteous.
There was another young man
Who chose a very different path.
He never learned how to love
They way the other man
Fought to love.
The consequence of doing wrong
Is not a price many willingly pay
The angels do not punish
They just don't open
The gate.
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
