if this talk is about the misconception that money for shamanic/sorceric teaching and/or healing is bad... then I am with ya Le_R. In the past, there was an exchange taking place between teachers/healers and their 'customers'. Today the exchange is usually money instead of other good and services.

It is important that there be an equilibrium between the given and the taken. If there is not then it is not helping the 'customer' (they would be set up for a different kind of problem down the line). Is it part of the teacher's 'duties' to keep an eye on the equilibrium? Would stuff otherwise not work that well?
It does not have to be a money thing... but depending on where one lives it might be the most convenient/practical/simple option.

And then there is the thing of well-being. In today's world, having money is usually a part of people's well-being. There is nothing wrong with being well.
But can't make money into your master ofc Smile. Can't have it linked to fear and other such... etc.

You may have noticed this in another forum, but FYI I am currently leading a project to trade unionize freelance sorcerers.  The language is shifting but we've landed on witches more often than sorcerers, just to be honest with you, but it seems to be working out so far.  The official name is "Wonder Workers International" because Wonder Workers is a direct translation for the Greek "thaumaturgos", as in "thaumaturgy", and you can't really go wrong with invoking ancient Greece in a project with such strong political overtones.

I'm also pleased to announce that we recently added our first member outside the United States and we are *actually* international now, which is VERY exciting.

Unique sorcery related areas of research like, as you say, "an exchange taking place between teachers/healers and their 'customers'" and how to bring that into the modern world is basically exactly the kind of work we sponsor.  But in general, our mission is to promote and advocate for the normalization of the sorcerous ("wonder working") professions.  In the real world.  For money.  On Earth.  In the dimension where computers definitely do exist but the AI apocalypse still hasn't happened yet.   I could go on...

Are you by any chance a professional witch, psychic, energy healer, shaman, freelance sorcerer, or perhaps even member of clergy with at least one for-profit side project?  Whether it currently makes money or not, or even if it's still only a dream, we would love to hear more about how we can help make your dreams a reality.

The facebook went up a few days ago, and we are very much alive and on the internet now.
