I am glad to have found this group, so far it's the most interesting and active thing I have found online.
I have been into various forms of magick and spiritual discovery since my early teens, and am always looking for places to have high conversation and learned and informed interactions on magickal subjects of all sorts.
My early magickal training was more western, Crowley/Golden Dawn oriented. I discovered Castaneda's work soon after however, and find, especially in the later works, a sober and technical way to temper the raw materials found in western magick and yoga. Two disciplines that seem to take themselves way to seriously.
As much as Crowley tried to make a science of, and remove the unecessary mystical hooey from the world's magick and spiritual disciplines, I have found the explanations of Don Juan to be so pure, and free of unecessary symbolism that he presents the essence of magick and sorcery, and even the possibilty of attaining the Siddhis, in such a purely mechanistic view that makes it all seem not just plausible, but entirely possible.
Where to go with all these psychospiritual/magickal practices? I personally have gotten to the point where dreaming, manifesting, following the coincidances, having intense visionary experiences, and knowing that tarot cards "work" has become nearly boring. I am after the Siddhis at this point. I know how that sounds, and i know all the warnings. I just feel like it's time to, well, level up. In a sense, i am looking for what don Juan would have called a benefactor. Just stating my intention among the sorcerers i guess.
