Hello everyone,
As you might have noticed, the site was down for about 5 days there as a result of the yuku-tapatalk merger. Thanks for being patient with us as we've, (mostly Watergaze), been working to try to insure that the site security is as it should be. As is obvious, a lot has changed due to the merger and there's things we have to do differently than we did before. Things look different and operate differently and it will take some time for everyone to adjust to the new forums. Also, the admin/mod team will be working on trying to improve site design and usability so expect to see more changes in the future. The good news though, is all you amazing people who make the site what it is are here, ready to enlighten and entertain us with your continued participation. So welcome back and feel free to start using the forum again at anytime.
PS - We know some of the changes suck. Feel free to tell us anyway about it, but it's probably not our fault and something we're already working on.
PSS - For those of you unfamiliar with bbcode; since that is what the new editor uses I recommend taking a quick look at this guide to using it.

(edit - Sorry to edit your post glance, but what you described looks like a potential security loophole. I'm sure your intentions were good but until we check on/fix it it's best to keep as few people from knowing about this as possible. Thanks for understanding.
(update from JJ - We tested what you wrote to see if it would be a way for people to gain access to other people's or abandoned accounts. Fortunately, it looks like the security is doing it's job and we weren't able to do that. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention glance. )

BTW I should be able to reset your original account password in my Admin Panel. If you like we can try that.
But tell me first, what did you type into the username field? Because you should not put in the ".u" part. Also try "glance left" without an underscore. Your nickname before had a space in between. Although on the link it had a dash "glance-left.u" they way it showed up on the site was "glance left".
Tell me if this helped, if not I will try to figure out the password reset.

Well, I tried my original "username" which, when with Yuku, was my e-mail address and then input my password. I did this several times. That didn't work. Then I tried my username "glance_left" followed by my password.....no go. And tried "glance left" as you suggested, which didn't work either.
I'm fine with just using this new account if all else fails
, though I don't see RF anymore....is that still available?

yes, i can change your access to RF (which I will do so you can read and post until we figure this out - plus we have a membership request so you need to go read the 11 answers
and agree with allowing the member in).
But I will try the reset password. Maybe if will give you a link or something who knows. Stay put lol
The thing I just heard is that a person cannot create an account. How did you create your account glance?
So first I am trying to see how the account creation works.
then Im gonna chage your access to RF for this (hopefully) temp account
and then try resetting your password
btw thanks for trying the combinations and permutations of your old username options. it is important we know how stuff works

Ok glance, you should have access to RF now with your new account
I forced the reactivation of your old account and have approved this activation in the admin panel - i wanted to try this first to see if it heled before I move on to the password stuff - so let me know if it works (and pls try "glance left" as far as I know no one uses the email for logging in anymore, do they?). And I hope you did not forget your password

Nice! It worked, now using "glance left" instead of e-mail for username and my old password. You can delete the new account if you like....or, just let it fade slowly into oblivion

I am not super clear on it myself. What I know/understood/read about is that tat you do not need to worry about your pictures disappearing.
The boards, like this one, will also keep the old urls. Like yuku will be a subsection of tapatalk or some such I guess.
