List of things to be done:

- (check) figure out how to set privacy options for groups
--- figure out how to make forums invisible, to have forums show teaser titles etc.
--- can one control access to forums based on nr of posts and time that one has been a member, etc?

- (check) how to sticky posts and feature/unfeature/announce stuff
- (check) figure out how to make the announcement topics show up also on the main index - they dont show up on the main index, if one does a global announcement it will be on top insice every forum of the site.
--- how does one assign permissions of sections - a different section had different quick mod tools and also it displayed subforums on the general index

--- how to hide a topic?

- how to make the skins (at the moment it seems we will only have one skin for all the forums at the site) -- this will be a long process. I am getting somewehre but two steps forward one step back kinda way.

- how to make members admins -- is being looked at by the support team (they f-ed it up during the move to tapatalk)

- (ckeck) how to make members mods and set what they can and cannot do

- how does one make the background static - to not move while one scrolls?

Skin stuff:

(((check) reduced the size of the logo part
(((check) took out the description of the site under the logo part
(((check) took out the little edit icon on the logo
(((check) put in a water background
(((check) put in a background on the outer wrapper --- (((changed) wrapper made to take the background of the site (so basically transparent)
(((check) put in water background for inner wrapper
--- need to set font color that is now in the water to white

---- (((check) remove ugly red lines around the wrapper borders --- important - this might have screwed up the letters shifting when one resizes the window. need to check on this -- solution: made the line slimmer and light blue - no one even knows with there.
(((check) make it so that the writing shifts in better ways when resizing the window - it is not perfect but it is not as bad as before

(((check) apply opacity to the forum
(((check) make links that are used to navigate around the site white (more visible)
--- when in Mod Panel there is no navigation link - why?
(((check) make the links that are used to navigate around the wite a different (black) color when one hovers with the cursor over it

-- make page numbers in threads white (more visible)
-- make them change color when one hovers over it

- reduce the space between a forums name and description on the main index
(((check) reduce the vertical size of the main index in general however possible (too much scrolling)
--- reduce the vertical size also inside forums... damn it....

(((check) figure out how to put a picture on front of forums' names on main index - it is in the admin panel where one creates/edits the forums


- have logo show up inside the forums and subforums too?

- how to put a description of the different forum on the top of those forums, so one can read when one accesses it.
(now that everything has the same background I find it could help. But most of all, then the description would not have to be on the main index and that would mean less scrolling - which would be a godsend)

The Admins (and maybe mods too?) have to go over each forum and re-delete previously deleted threads or posts that show up grayed and have an hourglass icon on the thread in the index.

All Forums need checking for that. At the moment finished:

In addition, the threads seems to have gone to default posts by time. So if a thread was merged and another lead post was taken that was written after the second post in the thread, then the second post is now lead and the one that was meant to be the lead is wherever it fits in the timeline of the thread - omg...

Check if headings of post threads moved over with the threads. --- OMG they have not. Very very very bad....


- change quotes at some point (the quote box)

How to change order of sticky threads? Before I had to unsticky and sticky again the one I wanted on top. Now this does not seem to work. --> answer: the order changes based on which thread has been last responded to.

Note: when using the back button... it goes back so perfectly even the new post that you have just read shows up as new.
And a thread that was moved or whose hourglass status has been resolved shows in the previous form again. I forget if it just shows like that or is actually that way. Gotta inspect this later.

Note: when replying in a Full Editor & Preview mode one does not see the posts/thread one is responding to. This can be quite impractical...

Note: editing does not show up like it did on yuku. One does not see the original time of the post and then the edit time. The original time gets overwritten. UGH. And if I edit a post of another user it does not leave any marker that I did it (other than the time changing - which does not point to who edited the post) !
