a polite notice to all, regarding advanced subforums here on the site
#1
it amazes me, that knowledge expressed on this forum, specifically in advanced sub forums, seems to 'offend' the sensibilities of those, who have supposedly chosen this path and the teachings of its concepts.

the mastering of awareness, for example, is about awareness mastering the 'you', not the self with all its contradictions, attempting to redefine universal laws, that are based on the truth, of what is.

defense of the mind, and of the self against these truths, is futile and a complete waste of energy.

all it shows, to those that can see, is the level, to that which, the individual has or has not. self stalked. It is only indicative of their perceptions and what level of awareness, they are currently holding.

while it is valid that this is also truth, the degree of resistance shown, is sadly indicative of the lack of comprehension of the teachings themselves, and, those that feel offended by the knowledge, clearly have a lack of experience of the practical side of sorcery, and haven't fully mastered yet, the basic techniques and precepts associated with gaining awareness.

nagualist teachings are not up for debate, they are there as a mirror, to your internal state. if you consider them to be irrelevant to your current level of integration, may i suggest you consider the knowledge put forth, to be a challenge to your perception, rather than an opportunity to invalidate the knowledge or the messenger itself.

constant distractions of disgruntled individuals, is what holds up progress for others, attempting to further their understanding at different levels.

as we include those here, who we acknowledge are finding their feet on the warrior path, it would be civil, if they could recognize that, some here are working at a different level, and leave them to do so, without having to constantly battle against your own gaps in understanding and tolerance.

we have plenty of space here, for everyone to continue to grow and learn at their own pace. please be respectful to the spaces designated, and quite clearly marked, for the use of more advanced practitioners. thank you.

imo, this is why moderation is crucial, especially in the advanced forums like Mastering Awareness. For example the Harvesting Power thread. Information on harvesting power is great to have in that thread, but people who fight against it with morality and other similar are going through an important process too and it can have a place at this board and should, just in a split off thread in for example the stalking section. What is off topic and disruptive in one thread/section can be on topic and focused and helpful in another.

Of course, for this there would need to be moderation in sections that LW currently set off limits to moderating.

Thinking that members will suddenly see what of their posts is relevant and what is not relevant to the thread in which people are looking to talk about another level of things (than they can connect to at that moment) is wishful thinking. Most cannot see with the eyes of another person, just their own. And, as in the example of the Harvesting Power thread, the topic raised about what is good and bad, helpful and not helpful, what should and should not be done is of matter to many that come to the site, so it would be good if they talked it out in the section where it belongs (and not stop the thread's direction meant for sharing knowledge of a deeper sort)

Like you wrote, we have plenty of space here and it is on members to be aware of what discussion belongs where, and if members do not organize themselves accordingly, it is on the mods and admins to direct them to the proper places for their discussions.

Mastering Awareness, as I set it up in the Introduction to this place is supposed to be with focused threads. Since LW said not to moderate there is becoming less so, with talk about moderating in threads like Identity Theft and the thread looking like a child's doodle.
If we are seeking change of stuff, we have to start at the 'top' with ourselves. Members are directed by us and what we allow and dont allow. If we see something already out of place we should be the ones dealing with it and putting stuff in order. And of course, like youre doing, make notices to members to be more aware of what and where they post. And what the difference is and such, so they know what to do next time around. Because, imo, many members do want to have good discussions and it is not their intent to stop other people from doing the same.

To also give some practical suggestions and examples (and not just general ones, because I see people sometimes just might not know what to do to follow too general suggestions/guidelines):
If one wishes to put in question some concept another is talking about then one should make a new thread and refer to it. One can quote the relevant part one is replying to and give a link to the original post.

If a thread is wishing to look at how to grow apples and make apple pies it is not cool to write there that apples are bad for your health and that pesticides ruin everything and that the person who gave the apple pie recipe is an incompetent cook. Apart from the last topic (of the incompetent cook) the points raised should be put in a separate thread not the one about growing apples and making pies. Not everything that comes to one's mind while one reads a post belongs in the thread one is reading. Be aware of what the person who started the thread was looking for, what direction they are setting with their post, what section they put their thread in (the section indicates the direction they are wanting to take too). Feel the flow of the thread's intent.
What concerns all the 'incompetent cook' posts that are around.. keep them to yourself. No one is interested in personal opinions about other members. Talk on topic and who is competent and who not will come through on its own without personal bias to push your opinions/judgements onto others.

For example in this thread it would be completely futile and irrelevant for me to go and tell shamanka how she herself is not doing what she is asking others to do (imaginary example). It might seem it is connected to the topic of the subject and thread, but it is not. It would be counter productive and should really be of no interest to anyone reading this. It would take the thread in a completely unproductive direction and the original notice and concern could be lost.

I added points that I find relevant.
also possible solutions. You yourself write that the behavior you described shows a lack of self-stalking. Im saying the site can be used for this. We have stalking sections (and I see more people struggling with similar things of this nature).
