To start this topic, I want to talk about sorcery from the past and what our present day version of sorcery consists of.
The ancient Seers and Sorcerers were part of a tradition that extended back to the dawn of human awareness on this earth. Their purpose was to provide out of the ordinary insight and skills to people who gave them material support in return. Their concept of consciousness was based on reflection, as so above, so below and other principles that have came down to us in various ways. These were very enlighted people who studied nature with great care and used what they learned to build understandings that aren't possible in todays culture obsessed with rationality.
Today's rationality has overpowered yesterday's understandings based on knowledge of the soul and spirit by invalidating their existence. Mainstream reality is totally mesmerized by the power of social consensus made by people who are not connected to one another in the least. This leads to the creation of consciousnesses in people that is personal and based on complete individuality which leads to an emotional rot at the core of every being that causes such a stench it is a wonder we are able to live together at all.
What can be said of today is we have a lot of people who still feel the pull of those lost ancient advanced civilizations and are for the most part unable to make use of what was learned and the rest who want a material world in our own making that reflects us as the greatest beings in the universe. If this isn't the bottom, I don't know what is......

Okay, this sound like YOU writing and not just sharing the quotes of others. You sound very intelligent and rather level-headed to me.
I feel sorcery, at its best, is a matter of being aware of and successfully dealing with the SOURCE of everything.
It's fair to say that what I perform is SOURCEry rather than sorcery. This post of mine shares my overall goals.
I feel we must become increasingly simple and clear about what we want our lives to become so that Intent can function properly
towards manifesting the lives we are intending:
A SHARED POST OF MINE:
I have continuing evidence that the Earth is a living being and there is a living force behind all of Creation.
I feel it is my responsibility to do my best to live a strong, healthy grateful life.
I also feel it is my responsibility to use my specific talents in ways that benefit the Earth.
Striving to live an increasingly noble and honorable life puts me in a situation where I am ready to face eternity
with as clear a conscience as possible.
That is my CURRENT view. However, this view may be improved upon.
MY COMMENT:
I feel it is self-defeating to use ancient sorcery techniques to do all kinds of dark, disconcerting things.
I see it as wisdom to keep one's goals simple, direct and increasingly clear.
Don Juan purportedly stated that ancient sorcery is a 'dead-end street'
I wholeheartedly agree. Lucid dreaming practices can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
to the spiritual body and the physical. I believe in 'waking dreaming' towards manifesting
the life of my dreams!
If the choice is to develop lucid dreaming or make the same amount of effort
towards improving one's life I say the wise will make the efforts required
to empirically improve one's life!

Thanks Sacateca, enough years of living and this is me.
I agree that our Sorcery art needs to be based on what is fundemental to existance because this is the only way it will ever have any teeth.
My comment on the Earth is similar to what you wrote, with the extension of the idea that because the Earth is a great big ball of awareness, every living being's awareness aligns with the Earth's awareness and becomes an Earth sized awareness. Hmmm......
Sacateca, I had an insight into the use of Dreaming to gain power as a Sorcerer, and that is when we construct all these dream worlds we waste time. We have the gift of physicallity or one of our energy bodies can manifest on the physical plane. We are in harmony with the universe if we work from where we
were first placed and not waste all the work it took to put us there. All of us present day Sorcerers have technological knowledge previous generations of Sorcerers did not have. Use the gains of other Sorcerers to build on your own Sorcery that extends what is existing rather than what was.
DNA supports four flavors of awareness or essence that become eight consciousnesses that each manifest a separate energy body. What this means is these eight consciousnesses have a physical basis as their source of existance and are free of limitations as to what geometric structure they choose to hold.
I am like you, Sacateca, in that I like to work with Sorcery in this world and see if I can become a modern day Sorcerer who develops his art in the deep end of the pool. Where everyone is a pain in the ass tuff crowd and winning in that ring as a Sorcerer es mui primo!

Matter in the void stays the way it is or changes into something else always in a cause and effect progression. The rhelm of the large where General Relativity holds sway is found to be supported from below by the rhelm of the small where quantum mechanics holds sway. In between the rhelms of the large
and the small is the rhelm of life or biology. The Life Rhelm seems to be a mixing of the two rhelms of large and small. In the DNA molecule inside each cell of the human body and that is a unique to each individual is a startling discovery about the nature of life we are still not able to fully appreciate because
of the rigidity of established order.
DNA is a retangular lattice stair of four amino acids we abbreviate as C,G,T,A. Each rung on the ladder connects both sides of the ladder with either a CG,GC,TA,AT on each end. So one side of the lattice might read CCATTAGAG and the other rung would read GGTAATCTC.

I don't know about you, but I find the more I advanced, in the Spirit, the less I have in commonwith the people who are a part of the problem destroying this planet. I foresee this will get even worse
as I am headed towards a functional unity with my Source while THEY are headed in the opposite direction.

I don't know about you, but I find the more I advanced, in the Spirit, the less I have in common
with the people who are a part of the problem destroying this planet. I foresee this will get even worse
as I am headed towards a functional unity with my Source while THEY are headed in the opposite direction.
So the choice becomes: either advance and form a more solid bond with Intent or lose yourself
in being a functional part of a system hell bent on the destruction of the Earth.
I now think more and more along the lines of Castaneda's don Juan. I have little interest
in the Superbowl mentality of having fun by 'beating' the other guy.
This is the general mindset of the average masses and it is disgustingly dumb to me.
Stalking becomes paramount for to successfully deal with people one must
wholeheartedly act interested in what they are interested in. Talking like don Juan
to a people who are only interested in superficial things just doesn't work

The only way to survive and prosper is to use one's Intent to become increasingly excellentand impeccable in how one functions in society. Once you become a master of your craft
people will make exceptions and defer to what you have to say because of your mastery
It's like the proverbial freedom Hawkeye Pierce had in the program MASH.
He could only have such freedom because HE WAS THE BEST surgeon at that type of surgery.
If he was not the best he would never have been able to get away with as much as he did.
So, being 'head and shoulders' above and beyond others in whatever it is you may feel inspired to do in life
is crucial towards having the freedom to be yourself in a world of people
who are mostly either phonies or half-phonies.
I think of the Brian Williams situation. People tend to exaggerate stories of their lives
and make themselves the heroes. Since most everyone is like this I don't see why
they should hold it against Brian because of his exaggeration of his story
that led to his six-month suspension from NBC.
Why do I bring this matter up? Because we have no idea whether or not
Castaneda's don Juan exaggerated OR EVEN MADE UP many of the stories
he told Castaneda. That's why. The same holds true for
ANY STORIES IN ANY BOOKS that we have not personally verified as true and accurate.
I see people here treating the stories of don Juan as though they are GOSPEL TRUTH.
I find that ridiculous. However, some people just refuse to learn.
Oh well....
NOTE: I personally feel Brian Williams DELIBERATELY sacrificed his career
in order to make it clear to the masses that they should NEVER blindly believe stories
on the mainstream media news.

to open the eyes of the extremely gullible, media hypnotized masses

It seems there is some sort of tendency, locked in human DNA, to blindly believe stories
told by respected authority figures. Whether religious, political or otherwise, people just don't learn.

Most will go to their churches, Mosques or whatever and blindly believe
whatever it says in their respective 'holy books' not learning a think
from the Brian Williams fiasco
