Name of photo: "Two Become One"

Back in the mid-seventies I attended the Esoteric Christian Church Pastored by the late John Scudder. It was located in Richton Park Illinois.

There we studied the "Mysteries" of the Bible, Qabala, Mystic Christianity, Meditation and Healing. I met my wife, Dawn, there.

We have been happily married for almost of almost 29 years now.

Being that John was our pastor he performed the marriage ceremony. We decided to do and experiment.

I had helped my friend Brad Crooks to build a Kirilian camera from an Edmund Scientific kit and we decided to put it to the test.

The attached scan of the photo are of my and my wife's index fingers immediately before and after the wedding ceremony.

I don't know if there is another experiment like this but I have never seen one.

It gives fairly concrete evidence of Gen 2:24.

"Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: AND THEY SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH."

George, I enjoy your show. Having been both a Semi-truck driver and security officer I value something to listen to late at night.

Your broadcasts have kept myself and many other drivers from going to sleep and driving off of the road late at night. They also stretch the mind and challenge it to

consider things beyond the day to day concerns that can take over our thoughts to our detriment.

Glad you had something to listen to late at night to avoid falling off the road.

Some of the more esoteric nutrition books like to use kirilian photography to show how much more energy is in living foods and things. Good stuff.

Cool Bob, congrats for your good marriage and getting the photo of the day.



I have an experience that confirms the union of two people as well. An old boyfriend and I are good friends and while he and I weren't married in a formal way we did commence with much enjoyment to some marriage of the flesh. Well, where there is flesh there is spirit also. I have noticed sometimes when he is in town that I can feel him in an indescribable way within my being when he is standing near me. I suspect I am noticing the blending of our energy bodies. I wish I could describe my perception better. People may divorce or break up but it seems a oneness remains.

Hi Lunoor,
I think you are right. Some kind of connection probably happens when people make love even if they do not stay together afterwards.
But this particular case we had not yet made love.
Neither of us were virgins but the church we belonged to taught abstinence before marriage. So we had both been celebate (abstained) for a time before we were married.
So the connection that seems to be showing here has more to do with what happened when we took our vows than the physical act which came later.
What exactly the photos show can be speculated on or debated but they show something happened.
The problem with Kirilian photos is that depending on the brand and type of film used the colors would be different, (according to my friend Brad). In other words the colors would vary from brand to brand. So they could not be exactly equated with Aura reading because the colors might not match what a person that could see aura might see depending on the film being used.
But again they do show something.

If, when humans make love, they are affecting a marriage of sorts at the spiritual level even when they don't make a formal tie, then perhaps the ritual of matrimony is a recognition and activation of that spiritual fact; that might account for your blending after the two of you made your vows.



Just more speculation though, may it remain a mystery O

Everything around us is a symbol of something spiritual in a sense and points to a higher reality.

Physical bodies can "merge" but not become one. But the Bible does not say two physicals bodies become one. It says two shall become one "flesh".

The story of Eve being formed of a rib that came out of Adam is describing a "Fall" of sorts. Below that point spiritually speaking we are either male or female in physical body.

 

Above that point, spiritually speaking we are "as the angels in heaven.." which are "neither married or given in marriage..." as Jesus said.

So the marriage and sex act itself are symbols on this plane to illustrate both where we came from, and what we are.

 

Shakespeare said "All the world is a stage and we are but players."

We live surrounded by props and story lines that together point us to a spiritual reality that we have become unaware of. The Bible gives us hints and direction to decipher that play.

 

At some point we will be androgeous again and at one poit we will become one with that reality again.

The rib is half a circle which as a rib cage encompasses our whole person.

To take one away is to come up with half a circle left behind and half to build something with. Or as you pointed out we are incomplete.

The entire story is one of incompleteness and our need to become one with each other and God again.

As is the entire married life.
