Herbs 101

Something that I am again noticing while reading on pharmacology is that they are baffled by some of the effectiveness that plants have when interacting with the body. It shows me that their working knowledge of chemistry is limited compared to mother earth. I see also that this lack of understanding leaves many in scepticism as to the plants proof. Its like on one hand they find all these amazing chemicals in st johns wort, chemicals that do amazing things to the brain, and yet since it has very limited side effects they discard them as findings because they just cant BELIEVE that a plant can be so effective at relieving depression with no side effects even tho they have proof that it is doing so. Another thing I noticed is that just because ginkgo biloba leaves the bloodflow so rapidly that they believe it has no effect. That just stupid!! I mean the chemicals could alter other chemicals int he body while its in the body, and the chemicals could also be altered from their original states. It just shows me how dumb people are. BTW Ginkgo is proven now to aid and enhance cognitive function as well as aid memory impairments. The book I am reading that discounted ginkgo was from 2009 and yet the trials were done after that which proved it's effectiveness. It funny because again in the book they are obviously encountering positive pharmacodynamics and yet they discount it nontheless based on their stupidity and lack of understanding. I knew it was wrong too. But they didnt. Of course the book I am reading now is a book about the pharmacology of plants. I dont trust pharmacology all that much although what I am learning shows promise for the future. I just wish this knowledge was in the right hands and not being controlled by big pharma.

So now get this... Lemon Balm, reported for ages to be calming and a memory enhancer. It has so many beneficial properties its unheard of. Now the research and trails show patience with both enhanced calm and memory and yet the pharma people report again that it is unlikely that the plant has any of the reported effects because it is "unlikely" that a plant could do so many good things with so little side-effects. And they completely brush it off!!! Just because THEY cant create drugs that do those things with no sideeffects doesnt mean nature cant!!

Lavender - Studies show that inhalation of the oil reduces anxiety.

One study entailed a double-blind comparison of silexan(lavender oil) to lorazepam, a benzodiazepine, as a treatment for generalized anxiety disorder. Lorazepam is a drug commonly used to treat this condition. The results indicated that the daily consumption of the lavender oil-containing capsule was as effective as lorazepam administration in reducing the symptoms of this disorder. In a study of more than 200 patients it was found that oral administration of silexan decreased anxiety and improved the quality and duration of their sleep

Energy and Stamina.

Maca, aside from its sexual benefits is also an adaptogen that helps the body cope with internal and external stress. It increases the body’s ability to defend against physical and mental weakening.

Because maca root helps to increase energy and stamina, it has proved a good alternative to anabolic steroids.

Another herb that is great for energy and stamina is Horny Goat weed, also great for sex. Horny Goat Weed has also been used in traditional chinese medicine to help with pain and endurance.

Ashwaghanda. A study published in the “Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine” shows that Ashwagandha can cause a highly significant reduction in stress, anxiety and serum cortisol levels. In fact, it was able to reduce cortisol up to 27.9%
Ashwagandha also helps to stimulate neurogenesis – the birth of new brain cells. Ashwaghanda aside form treating schizophrenia also can aid in the bedroom.

Ginkgo Biloba has a load of properties including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antidepressant, antioxidant, antitussive and astringent.
This herb may also be useful for improving oxygen use in the body and increasing overall energy. Its antioxidant content also helps to protect the body against free radicals. Ginkgo Biloba helps get better blood flow to all parts of the body.

Herbalism is the central foundation of modern medicine. Since mankind existed herbs have been used for medicines. The earliest account being Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Nowadays, pharmacology creates its own combinations of elements, now that they knwno how to do this and rely rarely on medicinal plants. However, I believe, this is a mistake. The industry was created by isolating specific chemical interactions within plant and human physiology and has found many amazing drugs from doing this. However a small fraction has truly been explored and nature has evolved along side mankind since the beginning. Man's intent to find helpful plants has helped fashion the plants for this purpose. Indeed the will is the world at large. Man's will effects the formulation of plants. It is proven in Dr. Emoto's experiements that positive thoughts and intent effect water and rice. FUrther studies of this science will discover, I am sure, that human's intent effects how plants interact with the body. Shamans, for millennia, have worked and shaped the plant spirits to the will of the populace. Indeed a spirit may be befriended and shaped, honed, to the will of the practitioner. I have done this with many power plants. In the end the plant bends and moves to my will, for my purposes, and does what I intend for it to do.

So I learned to make infused oils, extracts, salves and lip balms, and will learn how to make creams now. I am going to create my own remedies and sell them online, and at my parent's store.

In the future, once I have enough money saved, I am going to open an herbal shop of my own. It will be an herbal shop that also sells tea and coffee and has a place to sit and drink with free wifi. It will also be a spiritual shop that sells gems and insense, and book and cool spiritual stuff.

I have been making my own tea mixtures. I make one with mugwort, which is a psychedelic relaxer and with a few other relaxing herbs in it. I call it tranquili-tea. Also making my own vitali-tea formula which increases vitality and stamina and endurance. Its going to be cool. I will sell on my website too and on ebay.

Well you see, there are many forms of psychedelic plants that are legal for consumption in Canada and I know there is a market for them. Wild lettuce grows everywhere around here and yet no one knows that its full of opium. Legal opium. I am going to make teas with extract of opium in it, and sell it to the people. Not to mention have a nice lil healing shop.

Picture this, soft music, patchouli burning in the air.. And good drugs and art to look at while you trip out. Maybe some interesting books to read. Comfy chairs.

Much of my market will be propaganda aimed at big pharma. Fear drives sales and big pharma has a big closet full of skeletons. Many herbs do just as well as medications and sometimes even better. Many of those same herbs have lil to no side effects. You know the side-effects for some drugs can be long and painful to listen to right? Well many of the side-effects for the plants I will be selling are positive ones. Guess what?... this herb not only lifts your depression but also strengthens your heart and sex drive.

So at this stage I am buying bulk herbs and making recipes, and tinctures. Perfecting my craft.

So I just found out I am getting 8000$ at least for my taxes credit. And possibly up to 1500$ a year for the last 7 years. I am going to invest it in my businesses.

Let us know if you are starting an online portion of the store as well.  I'm sure many here would be interested.  I'd personally be interested in the mugwort tea Smile.  I had a good result upon drinking it before sleeping in a tree boat up high in a sycamore tree

Thanks funnyguy. I will appreciate the help for sure.

Glance - Yeah my biz will likely start online before i can make it a brick store. I plan on making extracts of mugwort, powerful ones. That was I can reduce the bad taste somewhat. I am trying to find a good herb to mix with it so it tastes good.

Up in a tree on mugwort sounds dangerous but fun!

The plant called Sinicuichi (or Sun Opener) by the Aztecs is still used by Mexican shamans as a trance divination catalyst. They regard it as a sacred herb, enabling vivid recall of past distant events. Some users even report the remembrance of pre-birth events! Often causes a yellowing of the vision and altered acoustic perception. This is the recap herb.

Another shamanic plant is the blue lotus flower. I have some of this in my stores. Its remarkable for joy and happiness. It needs to be steeped in a wine or alcoholic beverage so its properties can be removed and assimilated.

Calea Zacatechichi (synonym Calea ternifolia) is a plant used by the Chontal Indians of Mexico to obtain divinatory messages through dreaming. It is commonly known as "Dream Herb" or "Leaf of God". Traditionally, the plant was rolled into a cigarette and smoked before bedtime to bring relaxation and fluidity to mind and body and usher in an easy and deep sleep during which the dreamer was to find the gates to the dreamscape gently opened. The Indians of Oaxaca, Mexico report that it clarifies the senses and induces dreams with some auditory shifting when fresh or dried Calea herb is used.

So I found a school of herbalism I like. They are highly appraised. They have three years of study. The first year is practical herbalism, second year is traditional herbalism and the third year is Master Herbalist. I cant wait to get started. I printed out my OSAP application which is pretty much a guaranteed school loan and possibly a grant or two. Low interest. 4000$ is all it costs for all three and so I am set. Worst case scenario is I would have to pay monthly which is about 120$ a month. I am stoked and raring to go.

Whenever a Great Physician treats disease, he has to be mentally calm and his disposition firm. He should not give way to wishes and desires, but has to develop first of all a marked attitude of compassion. He should commit himself firmly to the willingness to take the effort to save every living creature. Sun Szu-miao (A.D.581?-682)

Digestion is one of the, if not the greatest area to focus on for health. ALl the energy we get comes from the sun. Then into the plants. Then into the meat we eat. We must digest them properly in order to remain healthy. (of course we can do what we want as sorcerers). Medicines, and herbs must work and pass thru the digestive system in order to[ function properly. Getting the most out of our food is important. Some of the wisest healers have proclaimed saliva to be the fountain of youth. It breaks down our foods and signals our body as to what foods we eat, and herbs we ingest so it knows which enzymes to create and mix into our food. Eating too fast hinders this process. There is a saying "chew our drink and drink your food." This means food should be liquidized and drik should be savored before swallowing. Bon a petite!!!
