Nagualism and mirrors.
#1
Hello new seers.
I know that mirrors have some kind of importance in sorcery.
I remember DJ asking Carlos to plunge a mirror into a stream,
and Carlos ending up fighting somekind of inorganic, trying to get out of the mirror.
Also, Im not sure where Im getting this information, but in dreaming,
arent mirrors somekind of gateways?
Do any of you have info about mirrors? And what about them in dreaming?
How can anyone use mirrors, and for what purposes?
Thanks.

I have often gone to mirrors in dreams to see what I look like. I have seen myself in many ways and forms over the years. Mirrors can be gates in dreaming and especially awake states by helping you shift your ap.

Hi Blue totem,
just about a week ago I found this thread on mirrors, it is called 'Mirror, mirror' : http://sorcery.yuku.com/topic/3181

I have also been interested in mirrors, so I clicked on this thread. Now you can do so as well. And maybe share something of your own experience. I will share mine with time.. as I was thinking of doing so, I searched what is written about it here and found this thread.

Concerning what you wrote.. mirrors in dreaming. For me one very memorable moment in dreaming was when I saw myself in the mirror and saw my eyes . They were not my eyes, but it was me and the eyes were beautiful, but very ruthless. They were in this sense like the eyes of a predator animal, yellowish and glow-ish . I do not think I will ever forget this image/feeling I had . it was breath taking. I have read in CC that the double cannot replicate the eyes, so I suppose this is one way that you can use a mirror in dreaming.
Another time I remember I looked in a mirror in a dream and saw myself and I was old, and then I passed it again and I saw myself and I was young. I was changing there and back in terms of age and this was very fascinating to me, I would always go check on myself if I was old or young.
Since I am talking about this I might as well mention that while gazing in a mirror in my waking life I actually saw myself as old (with wrinkles and stuff) and also as animal-like. It broadened my mind.. I was a teen and seeing myself old was a shock and very interesting, and I also realized looking old might not be so creepy, it was still me . I find mirrors to be special. They have helped me. I found interesting what Enchantra shared in the thread:
Enchantra wrote:Mirror scrying is an evolved form of water scrying. When it became possible to build mirrors they were regarded as being like water that was fixed into one place.
...
Enchantra wrote:The oldest metallic mirrors to be unearthed were found in China and Egypt. Older still are mirrors made of polished stone surfaces and those that used water.
So when I read this I understood my relationship with mirrors and water a bit more. It makes sense of course, but I never realized a mirror is like water . I just saw the quality that water has of being like a mirror, of mirroring and reflecting (which are not the same). Lol, funny how my brain did not make this go both ways..

So, here you have a drop of my mirror experiences .

Hey LoneWolf, almost missed your post there . Now you are getting technical, I was not about to go into that AP stuff again.. (just had a blast in the 'Ancient Tongues' thread) hehe. I prefer to look at it more from a position of wonder and magic.
When you say gates do you mean because of the shifting of the AP when one looks at/in it, or do you mean you actually pass through mirrors in dreaming (and thus shift your AP)? Comes down to the same thing, so basically I am asking if you pass through mirrors in your dreams, I never did so (not that I recollect at least).
