The World of Talking
#1
We all know Talking.  We do it all the time.  Either externally or internally.  The World of Talking has two sections as can be seen from the diagram.  The highway between Reason and Talking is a two way street.  From Reason Talking is an awareness of energetic structure that can be turned into action.  From Talking Reason joins with Seeing, Feeling and Dreaming to create the world of meanings.  We overuse Talking like we overuse everything else until it is only there to be a sounding board for our Self Importance.  Reason takes control of Talking and uses it to filter any input from the points Seeing, Feeling and Dreaming in order to satisfy its leaned bias about what it considers important.

All Sorcerers and Nagualist treat Talking different from what mainstream people do.  The Sorcerers and  Nagualist reflect Seeing, Feeling and Dreaming into Reason using Talking as a silent mirror to form understanding.  They then use Reason to create sober, disciplined commands to perform magical acts.  They can do this because Talking has a silent side.  A side that listens to the World and is able to become intent at the service of the practitioner.

My next post will address Seeing.

I agree with much of what you said, and you said it very well. However I must point out that your reasoning of the first attention is still directing your judgements of 'average' people. A lesson I learned again yesterday as I approached someone's self-importance with a negative expectation and judgement. Realizing this, little by little I shifted the judgement of the person, using my awareness of the person in a controlled manner that effectively shifted their awareness away from self-importance to hear what I had to say. Initially I was caught by my own judgement, my own self-importance, that can stereotype people, and place them in the position of awareness I had of seeing people as being very self-important. It's a fine line between two positions, first as seeing what is in actuality their awareness, and the second as seeing the power of our own position of awareness and the judgement we force into perception. Both are seeing, yet from two different positions of awareness.

Serloco, what I am going to do is give a short summery of each of the Eight Points before I start in on the more advanced features.  I am like you in that mindlessly judging others for not being like oneself is pointless.  In the last post I was only looking at self absorption (i.e. I only want to know what pertains to myself) versus understanding  (I want to know the Tonal independent of the self).  Everyone struggles with self absorption at some point in their life and I am as guilty as the next.  As I go though this abstract what we will be doing is getting completely away from the Human Known, not because it is wrong but because it limits us.  I do make a distinction between ordinary people and sorcerers because ordinary people use a description of reality that I deem as confining to the spirit.  It works well in shopping malls and factories, but it stalls out at the mention of ones personal death.
