No laddie and/or lassie, it ain't quicksand which be terrifyin' that crew. It's something much worse than that.
The sight that turned poor Mackenzie's hair white was no natural phenomenon. You could ask Jenkins about it, as he was with Mackenzie at the time, but what he saw struck him mute!
Indeed every digger knows there's only one thing that can cause such things in stout men like those two, and that be the undead.
