Of Warlocks and Naguals
#1
Nagual or Nahual is the toltec name for a sorcerer. Using toltec terms we refer to power as the 'nagual' also, a spirit, creator and other such type references. We refer to the nagual inside us as part of us. This word thus describes us, 'god', a spiritual leader and the unknowable. It is another description we humans use to explain the unknowable or unseen. That which is magic. The Toltecs were unusual in that centered a large portion of their society in the study of this magic (Nagualism). Of course western society did something close in creating Christianity based on the sorcerer/nagual Jesus Christ.

I have two beliefs in this. One is that there are humans born with a link to the spirit. The other belief is that a nagual is a sorcerer, shaman, magician, druid, medicine man, warlock (my favorite term as it identifies the warrior who uses sorcery) etc. Ancient warlocks were nagual beings as were the medicine men and shamans. We are one world with many societies and peoples. All have those born with this link whether its in India, Denmark, or Mexico or the other countries.

Its about describing power and those who believe in it and use power. Sorcerer's shift assemblage points and lucid dream and see the omens and feel the spirit. The Indian Medicine Man knows he has a link with power, the spirit, the unknowable. The witch knows power is unseen but it is there, out there, up there and everywhere. I put Nagual in front of my name but it could be Warlock Wolf or Medicine man Lone Wolf, or Shaman Wolf, doesn't matter for its only a word, a description I use to affirm my link with power.

These are my beliefs and as a western man I use Nagualism as a description of beliefs I believe in but I know these beliefs existed since the dawn of men and mankind.
