I am going to Cahokia Mounds in Collinsville, Il. in about a week and a half. It is an ancient Native American city with several earthen mounds and woodhenge etc.
I will try to go to the top of "Monk's Mound" during dreaming. Friday the 20th, Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of October. You are welcome to join me. It is the largest Mound in the complex.
It is believed that this was a place of sun worship.
While in southern Illinios, I will be visiting my old power spot in "Giant City" state park in the Shawnee National Forest.
Southern Illinois is where I "stopped the world".
I am looking forward to this trip.

Just got back from the Mounds Sunday night.
I tried to dream of being on top of "Monk's Mound for the last few nights, but my dreams are very abstract lately. To the point that I don't even understand them let alone remember what they are. Very strange.
Anyway, while at the top of "Monk's Mound", I sat and did a meditation. I felt an energy rise up through my body from the earth and at the same time, another energy coming down from Above through my crown chakra. I felt suspended between heaven and earth, though my butt was upon the mound. The mound is 100 feet tall in the middle of Illinois flat farmland.
It occurred to me at this time that the reason for the mound was to enable the chief or priest to be the connection between heaven and earth and to call down blessings from the creator for rain, good harvest, protection etc.
The reason for the great height was so that the priest would feel closer to the creator and yet still attached to mother earth.

Hi Bob May,
Interesting about trying to reach the top of that mountain in dreaming, especially if that is a power place

...It is great that you meditated there!
