Your friend sounds like he has made contact with allies and may have entered into an arrangement or pact. They can manifest under such circumstances into a dreamers world.
If this is true he will need break the pack through stalking of his dreaming.
Now Eilias, I probably would not have believed your story, had not something similar happened to me, and curiously Lone Wolf, your response to Eilias'es post was the same as my first thought ... Allies !
"The ally" presence came into my "awake-dreaming" during the last "Spin".
The ally's red eyes were glowing ... I tell you it gave me the TOTAL creeps !
But for some unknown reason ... (to me and for Poutnik) ... Poutnik's double intervened and warned me about it ... before and after the incident guiding me out of it.
This is the reason why I wanted to leave after the first "Spin" ... I didn't want to get into any "Ally-Power" stuff of the "below-below world".... and this is why I called Poutnik my "Guardian Angel" ...
Now I do not know about allies, I just have got these hunches and feelings about it & I think, that in the Sami-blog I read, it said that besides there being "The Below World" ... which is the world of Ancestors, Totems, The Dead etc. (which is a good world really) ...there is a world below that & it is a bad one, you don't want to go there .... and my hunch feeling is that "the allies" come from there ...... ????
The allies seem like they could be "shapeshifters" ... they can enter into your dreaming in many guises as Lone Wolf pointed out (quote below), but one of the defining character trait to them is, (like in the story in one of the Castaneda books, can't remember which one it was though ... about "The False Owl Calls". Allies can imitate stuff, and they do it to almost perfection, but "other dimensionally" with the imitation, comes this creepy feeling of a "False Note" that chills you to the bone, and makes you stop on your "tracks".
I have "seen" the ally (?), twice since ... but each time a bit further away ...

i know many people won't believe that i had manifestations.
there is no physical way i can prove it to either of you. i stand corrected: there is no possibility of physically proving to you that i had or that anybody can have such experiences..
even though what i have experienced is fairly limited in the full scope of nagualism. sometimes I think that I am going crazy. but at the same time, i can't ignore what has come to pass since i picked up my first CC book. this is forcing me into the position to neither accept it fully, or completely disregard it. I will have to draw my own conclusions if any.
to help answer your question about Allies: Why do we deal with them?

In other words. the energy we get from food. The Allies food for energy is our awareness. nice huh?
that's why the 2nd cycle seers failed. they fell into the traps of their allies.
The new seers invented stalking and erasing personal history as a fail safe device against such dangers.
the inorganics use yourself as a gauge - they entice you with gifts of power. If you don't have personal history they can't use it against you. if you only seek freedom and not personal gain they can't use that against you.
that's why dreaming, and stalking has to be soberheaded. in order to survive their contact you have to stalk them without fear holding death by the hand.

Yeah Eilias ... I DO know what you mean by thinking you are going crazy !
I guess the best way I have now learned to deal with it, is that I take whatever IS happening as real (no matter how far-out or outlandish or unbelievable it may seem) .... in other words .... I assume a full responsibility of my actions in the situation I find myself in .... "In-The-Eyes-of-Spirit." That has helped at times.
From my "encounter" I got the same exact feeling, as to what you said about the ally draining energy.
It seems that the ally seduces one into it's world (according to one's weaknesses or naivete's) ....

Yes exactly !
They give these promises of some kind of "Mastership in Power" & "Eternal Life" past the Eagle stuff ... and doing so they lull you into this "False Bliss" feeling ... whilst indeed draining; .... but what I thought was the "Life Force" out of you with each and every encounter ... like some blooming Vampires !
& they can enslave one's total being, if one wants to go for some "Ego or some Mind ...Power" ... that could potentially "cheat" The Eagle.
Quite frankly I Love The Eagle ! ...
The Timelessness and The Time (Impermanence of Everything) and the Energies that move in between The Source and it's Myriad Manifestations ... "The Powers" that ARE (without "me" needing to "own" or "possess" any of it personally....)
& thus all I ever wished, was to become "Egoless" and go beyond the "Dual Mind" ... and "Dance".

Oh yes.. I've known Allies since I was very young and walked the forests alone. They were my childhood friends and promised much. I was able to stay out of their enslavery though and even use them a bit.
I have said it before and will again.. You are rarely alone.
The more power you have, the more awareness you have, the more you do sorcery...the more you are not alone.
Just because you can't see, hear, feel beings near you doesn't mean ****.
There is much more to your environment than you see.
Of course they follow you out of your dreams. My spin Artnwere helped you see not attract them. Wake up and reach out your hand and see if it is touched.

And besides, I don't think, that the ally-dream was even meant for me ... but for somebody else ... I heard the word "dull", but how you Americans pronounce words, the dream probably was meant for someone affectionately called .... "doll".

Does the ally "live" in a cave .... somewhere where you are at ? I have a few times "seen" a cave entrance in conjunction to your "dreaming-presence".

Yes there are caves near me and there is one I can see from my house on the mountain.
After reading my posts above I thought I sounded a bit direct. That was not my intent. I'm sure you are quite tuned into your worlds Artnwere.

The Wolf (here The Dingo) is my this ... i.e. Middle World and Below World guardian .... protector ....
Then my personal link with Spirit is another animal symbol ... maybe I could perhaps call it my "power totem", it's realms this Middle World and Upper World.
But "I" don't really own or posses this "power totem's" .... power, although I do have a minuscule access to it ... because the "power totems" Power is "Non-Dual" i.e. the Power of Interconnectedness ... and the Power of Interconnectedness doesn't really belong to anybody because it belongs to everybody and we can access it thorough our links with Spirit.
So my personal "henchman" it ain't, I couldn't hurt anybody with it without hurting myself right back !

You know the way northen indians contacts their totem animals? That way my friend contacted his long time ago. Once we were talking about that and I said that I also wanna try that. He adviced me against it. He told me once you contact them they will come and want things from you. And there is nor really "TAMING" it's a Faust's pack. Something for something. And fisrt of all they will try to tame you and if you arent storng enough and/or if dont have expirienced shaman/nagual with you results can be catastrophic. Lone Wolf correct me if I am wrong.

From my own relative perspective and understanding .... here is where we do run into the boundary between so called "indigenous" and "non-indigenous" peoples.
For indigenous people Totems are not something you choose to have or not ... at free will .... for they already exist in indigenous people's "energy body" ....as "patterns"...
They are something, that has been "instilled" in you ..... long ago .... and you are born into that legacy or inheritance.
"Indigenous people" cannot escape their "patterning" ... nor can "non-indigenous" people.
It just seems to me that "non-indigenous" people are not aware of their own "patternings" taking them for granted.
Poutnik, you said to me before, that your Totem is Wolf, but you are not a Wolf !
Indigenous perspective is different ... in them you are your Totem.
The human group or individual vibrates the same "key" as that of it's Totem. The octave is different, but the key is the same.
To build "personal power" a person aligns with his/her Totem.
But you are right .... Something for Something !
Totemic people are "patterned" to have "Spirit of The Power of Interconnectedness" as their "fate".
Long story ... goes way back to hunting and gathering days ....

Allies are just that...they help you and are your ally.
They will help you if they can. An Ally can show you yur choices.
Allies also can help you access the sorceror's world.
I would encourage you to make contact but not to enter into contracts with allies.
The way is there for you with or without an ally.

An ally can be possessed in many ways. In dreaming grab it and do not let go. One can have allies from birth who will stay with them for their life. An ally can be a friend or enemy, teacher or student, even a lover if one finds attachment that is sexual.

Most of the allies I have, I have found by questing for them in shamanic trance.
An IB have stalked me awake and I ended up with befriending it. Also in dreaming I made friends with a IB.

To see a spirit and to have an ally is something very different. Everyone can see spirits through the use of plants of power, but in order to get them interested you shall have a great deal of energy, which you only get by following warriors path for many years.
