Talking to New People About nagualism

I was at just today "Sunday" at a poolside party since it got around 94 degrees and was around 4 young youths talking about ghosts and similar
subjects that they had been encountering at this nice farm house and I was minding my own business trying not to be Mr. know it all, and they asked me what I
thought about such subjects as I was dripping wet from being in there nice pool and they wanted to know what I thought about the spirits in there house at a
time that I was trying to keep my yellow lab from not jumping in there pool of water and it ended up opening up a can of worms "So To Speak" and I
was around a few young kids that where all ears listening what I had to say, since after a few minutes of me talking about there encounters of the
manifestations my description scared the living **** when they heard of my knowledge of whats in there old house and I told them what actually that they were
perceiving was I.B.'s that the previous owners of the house used as there allies and when the people past away years ago the "Spirits" were still
around and told them that you had to treat them with respect since they were there before they were that you can live with each other in peace since they were
there first and you just had to voice your intent that you need your living space by voicing your intent and that since they were there that you could live
without conflict and these twenty year old were awed from what I had to say.




Two of the youngsters left but two stayed to hear what I had to say and I told them of the dreaming technique of looking for your hands while dreaming and a
few other things to do while dreaming that are fun to anchor your dreaming attention and memory and memory is what really blown them away when I said that you
can like myself attain full memory while dreaming, one of the kids started getting scared but was intrigued at the same time and I told them that I would not
say anything more unless they requested the info and they did.




About an hour latter I was being called a sorcerer by just mentioning dreaming and I was up front and honest that it was true and that they should be grateful
that I had good intent compared to bad intent, I told them to consider me like a "Gandalfh" from the lord of the rings"being someone with good
intent for the benefit of "Mankind", I told them that I was not like him but someone that you would want as your friend and all of a sudden when they
realize that I did not have Evil Intent everyone embraced me because they knew instinctively that I had good intent.




Just imagine being at a party and being accused of being a sorcerer and get the cold shoulder and after you said yes and stated your intent get embraced by
everyone as a friend and wanted to come back the next day or anytime as a welcome guest and this all happened when they realized I was not "Ill
Intended" and that what I had to say was what they knew all along.




Has anyone else here on this site have a similar situation like what I described when talking to people that you have just meet?

That is the part I find most interesting. Like they know all this subconsciously




I have never had this really happen but I will say that my friends and other people who know me can tell there is something going on




For me it is really hard to talk about with other people because it always comes out unclear and they think i am even more bizarre than before.

Docta lee you are dead on right and you made think of techniques of things that we all know but for some reason shy away from talking about it.




Deep down are bodies know whats "going on" but our rational mind gets in the way and I sense that people have some irrational fear of exploring
something that they already know.




One of the problems with shamanism is the interference of religion pressure to hinder the connection that our ancestors had in the past because now in the
current time frame its meant to put a block on this connection in some cases and not all of them attain this but I see it all the time that for some mysterious
reason people do not want to talk about openly about like things that we talk about on this website and they feel that they have to go in private that they
sense something and if the established community finds out that they feel this way they would give them strong medication as to offset and justify there
perception as a result that they are going mentally Ill.

no wonder people hide it arnway--who wants the systems meds? only the people who are convinced that the system is right in medicating them and cant find an
alternative




the brain washing that severed the connection for most people is strong and has the history of genocidal witch hunts behind it, i thnk that is lodged in the
collective memory and past life memories whether people consciously remeber it or not




i'm pretty careful about who i speak to on such matters--some of em get so upset and cant understand anyway




I'm more likely to talk about it if others bring it up and i feel like they get it some or atleast they arent threatened by it to the point of wigging out
on me




I have a neighbor who is almost 80, he is a good friend but I would never talk to him about this stuff--he would flip out--hell, he flipped out the other day
when a show about woodstock came on his tv and i brought it up the next day




I have some friends in another town that I can talk to some but they arent into nagualism, more like mystics, I don't talk about all my experiences or much
casteneda with them, they are practicing their own ways and works for them, some things are only sayable with people who have similar experiences like people
here on this forum, i am thankful for this site and my friends--they dont flip out because i have had some od experiences

I live in the "Bible Belt" in the deep south, so no, I don't often talk of this belief system at all. However, I do have some friends who either
know something is "up" with me, and they ask me questions and seek divination from me. I also have old friends who have know me since high school and
they ask for assistance with divination and energetic clearing, ect.. Do you know what the most frequently asked question socially is here where I live is? It
is "where do you go to church". Oh, how I hate getting asked that question.




I think it is very fortunate that those young people were able to talk with you Arnway! They must be living right.

Heck, arnway, I even went to this pagan forum once, shortly after i had an experience with a siberian husky who i saw had little human teeth and acted very
un-dog like in some ways, i was trying to get info about shapeshifters etc and those people must not have had any real experience though they called themselves
magicians and witches and such, they ganged up on me(except for one young girl who had some experience and a young guy who was cool too) one of them accused me
of animal cruelty because i didn't lock up the dog and take her to the vet because she was thin! I could tell that dog was something else, i thought
shapeshifter or khidr at the time cause i was into sufism and had a connection with someone sufi, hadn't heard about nagual animals then, the dog pointed
certain things out to me without words--not a dog to rescue and lock up. She didn't like hot dogs-the only meat in the house i was babysitting at that
night, she politely ate one and then went outside where i had the feeling she vomitted them--lol--a regular hungry dog would have wolfed them, she was very
deliberate, she hung out awhile, gave me her message and then when she was ready she went to the door again and didn't come back--never saw her
again--those people just thought i was an irrational dog abuser

Hey arnway, today surprized me I found the opportunity to talk to a new person about nagualism. He is a freind of mine who when I am with I always think he could benefit from reading Casteneda and maybe going from there to a more active engagement with the teachings, but until today I never felt the time was right to say much more than telling him that I am interested in it. He dropped by today before hitting the road to his home in another state and one of the things he said was that he decided that he wanted to experience people with fresh eyes and was seeing me in a new way. I had too decided to drop my opinions of him after getting frustrated with him for saying he would visit and then not showing up, and not answering my emails, so when he arrived I was glad to see him and not irritated with him any longer. I spoke to him a bit about how most of the time people aren't realing seeing who is front of them because they are looking through their opinions about various things and then I wanting to talk a little about nagualism which I did by showing him"a Separate Reality" , he read the back cover and then made a move to look inside the cover so I asked him to open it at random and read what was there if he didn't mind. He opened to the part where Don Juan is talking to Carlos about seeing, about how men think the acts of their selves and fellow men are important because they have learned to think they are important and therefore feel that way. I talked alittle about how that applied to me and how I realized that the way I was looking at things, that my opinions and focus on self blocked the perception of something else that was way more interesting than my personal opinions and drama, and that I am unlearning that because it has been discredited in my life and I am interested in something else. He was impressed that he had opened to that page in light of what he had said about seeing people with new eyes and he is aware that he is sometimes too self-important. He is a guy with a ton of energy and I feel that if he learns by unlearning he could do a lot with that energy. It was great for me to hear someone else read the passages from that book because I heard something that I hadn't paid much attention to the first time and that is noticing what Don Juan has Carlos do, for instance at one point Don Juan says something that overwhelms Carols' mind and Carlos gets suddenly unable to think coherently and gets exhausted, Don Juan tells him to clean and carefully shred some plants into a jar and then leaves him awhile. I saw that Don juan was anchoring Carlos, grounding him by having him do a practical and earthy task. Later Carlos is recouped and ready with more questions but Don zen Juan is hungry and fixes soup. He has carlos feed the fire. He teaches him some patience. Then Carlos sees the clouds and Don Juan makes the "apropros" statement about them before Carlos can comment on their beauty. that is where my friend stopped his reading. Now I'm gonna go back reading the book in a new way, more like reading the "spaces inbetween" which Don Juan talks about seeing in this book also.

All around good experience of sharing something of nagualism or maybe more like something about being a warrior.

That's good to hear Bluedreamer, I personally don't go around advertising nagualism to people but I have an instinct or sence that people percieve
allot more then what they led other people to believe and if you pay attention and inquire on certain subjects then they open up with their guards up just as
you and Dreamgirl have stated.




Allot of times I do not have allot of times to talk about this with someone like your friend because he lives in another state, but before I stop talking to
people because of time restraints I tell them this-----"Look for your hands in your dreams"-----and usually they look at me oddly but I tell them
that this fosters natural awareness without relying on a book to foster your awareness.




I tell them this if they think its sorcery I tell them that it was only labeled that way as to put people in a catagorie when all along all we are doing is
opening our wings of perception and there should be nothing wrong with this.

When i get a bit drunk i have a tendancy to talk about it. I probably shouldn't do that, Most people don't understand or have no idea what to think
when i tell them about walking in your dreams, and having them seem as real as this reality. But at the same Time i don't really care what they think of
me. I used to be afraid of what people thought, and now that I don't care as much i feel much more free to just be myself.

By opening up to those unschooled to Nagualism, sometimes a opening can be found and shown by omens of the spirit.. Not talking can not help one find those who
we need.
