It is my understanding that everything has an energy field ... i.e. is vibration .... that glows, vibrates, radiates i.e. "sings" it's essence directly to our energyfields, and this communication is then felt as direct "inner knowing" .... "direct seeing .... beyond-the-mind".
Depending on the quality of the glow we ourselves, or our energyfields radiate into the "Universe", determines the kind of a glow (later ... manifested phenomenal experiences) we then in turn attract to ourselves.
There is nothing wrong with any of the colours of the spectrum .... they are all good colours ....
The strongest colours that speak to me often are red and white.
When I first "saw" a representation of a Shamanic Drum ... as it truly was made in the past; -with red markings onto a white reindeer skin ... I knew I was looking at the real thing ... the "radiation, the glow" it emanated gave me some serious chills.
Zitter, you have asked about the masculine & the feminine essences within us ....
The Tantric Practice of Union of the two polarities within ourselves also speaks about red and white (ref. word "Union Yoga":
Quote:In Tibetan Esoteric Buddhism, the primal force of human sexuality which transcends the conceptual mind and creates new life is the foundation for Tantric practices that rely on the "red and white" essences within the practitioner's body to generate the "blissful body of awakened mind". In the view of Tantra, the body vital energies are the vehicles of mind. When the vital energies are pure and subtle, one's state of mind will be accordingly affected. By transforming these bodily energies we transform the state of consciousness.
Tantra never turns from the creative energies of mind and body, but seeks to harness and explore their power to bring greater awareness into the often unconsciousness, instinctive aspects of existence. Ultimately the mind is converted from dualistic passions to a radiant bliss which reveals the luminous nature of reality.
Vital energies generated by inner or outer means
Are drawn into the body's central energy channel,
Causing the mystic fires to blaze.
Inspire us to gain great insight
into the innately produced Great Bliss.
The AH is the philosophy of sunyata and is also the first word a child utters, the starting point of a vibrational wave from which all words will be produced just as all phenomena are produced in Sunyata. The half AH is the tummo, red in color, red bodhi or female bodhi and corresponds with the ovum. This half AH is the fire element in wisdom. When it rises it meets the male component or white bodhi called HUNG. HUNG is the water element and is connected with the male semen. The HUNG and AH are called wisdom drops. When they unite or melt together through the power of deep breathing, much nectar and bliss pervades the whole body. The entire body becomes light and begins to transform into a rainbow body.
Through the wisdom drops, with the help of wisdom breathing, aided by the outside visualization of the mandala of the Pure Land, the five elements of Buddhahood are brought inside and gnosticized into wisdom fire. This wisdom fire can dissolve the flesh of the human body and transform the entire human body into light (literally). This is the true rainbow body, without death and without flesh, capable of expanding to the vastness of the Dharmakaya or to the minuteness of a single grain of sand. This is the truth of the Tantra, the experiential fact of the complete identification of mentality and materiality.
Well, that is anyway what "they" say .... and what anybody says about anything means nothing unless we find out the truth about it ourselves i.e. create/have the same experience about it ourselves.
Personally ... for me the colour red is like "personal power", intent .... focusing of will ....
The colour red attracts spirits .... entities .....it summons them into manifestation.
From Ted Andrews"How to See and Read the Aura":
Quote:Red is the colour of strong energy, fire and primal creative force. It is the life-promoting energy. It is hot. It can indicate strong passion, mind and will. It is a dynamic colour that can reflect anger, love, hate and unexpected changes. It can indicate new birth and transmutation. It is the colour that affects the circulatory system of the body, the reproductive system (sexual energy) and an awakening of latent abilities and talents.
So the colour red is good, the brighter it's glow, the better really.
Poutnik asked about Spells and Rituals .... and I suppose there is nothing wrong with "Sorcery" & Spells and Rituals as such, it all depends on the "practitioner".
But when the "practitioner" has not even began to understand the workings of his/her own mind and yet wants to get into "Personal Power" ... "The Supernatural" and stuff .... what a mess !
As in ....
Mind.
... as I understand it ....
- I think the Buddhist definition of the mind is: "That which can perceive the other" .... (as the other ... I may add).
In general ...
"They" say, that in order for "The Universal Energy" to come into manifestation it needs to organize itself in seeming polar opposites i.e. as duality.
Good-bad, positive-negative, internal-external, light-darkness etc. etc. etc.
There is also the saying: "Mind Over Matter", but I don't think this to be quite right, because mind IS matter i.e. mind is mechanical, and can only perceive and function in dualistic 3D terms.
As such The Mind i.e. our Subjective Reality ... i.e. mind's summary of "Life-Universe-and-Everything-World-Order" ("The "Map") .... observing the world ... is often nothing more than the good old "Mirror-of-Self-Reflection" .... i.e. mind's own projections onto the phenomena, rather than a true perception of the observed .... as the mind always seems to wants to see confirmation of it's own perceptions.
In doing so the mind ignores what it does not know .... and further still, it ignores the fact, that it is ignoring .... hence it's ignorance becoming like a "boundary" or like a "shield", and a subconscious "autopilot" way of warding off anything ... unknown.
& What's more .... when we identify with our minds .... we become so very self-important about our blooming maps ! .... expecting our own mental limits and limitations (our ignorance boundaries) to become the total rule-book of others to live by ... like some God's Commandments ... and furthermore expecting the whole "external world" accord to it ...as Samael Aun Weor had said: ...."in our intellectual hallucination wanting all phenomena of nature to be, by force, the same as our dialectic logic".
The core of this problem seems to be our subconscious fear about the truth of me "I" or "our maps" (because we often identify with our minds), not having any real substance as THE " All-Encompassing-and All-Powerful-Overseer" of the "Territory" i.e. Reality.
********************
Mind as a "Map" is a functional and a necessary tool for awareness ... as long as we remember that "The Map" (Our-Subjective-Reality-World-Order) is only that ... a very limited map ... and not The Real Territory i.e. not The True Reality ... and as such although the mind is very limited (in awareness sense) ... it is a necessary part and function of our "totality" .... we do need it as a tool in our everyday life.
In it's dual function, the mind could also be described as "The Two Edged Sward".
(In terms of .... the more negative the mind becomes, the more negatives it perceives from it's environment ... the more complex the mind becomes, the more complexities it in turn perceives "externally" etc. etc. etc. therefore what is happening in our lives externally, is often a good indication of "where we are at" internally ... awareness wise.
I think that the Aboriginal people here in Central Australia still regard clocks and watches as "WhiteFellow Magic". It is not, that Aboriginal people are ignorant of time as in past, presence, future ... (the cyclical quality of it & the impermanence of everything) .....nor are they ignorant about "timelessness" either .... which for the western mind is often nothing more than a mental concept ... and not perceived reality. But clocks and watches are seen as "Foreign Installation" superimposed on Reality rather than being Reality itself .... and awareness that is trapped in the "Dual Mind" is very mechanical tick-tock clock ... Alien "Foreign Installation" like.
*******************
Meditation .... Recapitulation ........
I don't think there really is a better way to gain objectivity and insights into the mechanical workings of one's own mind than Meditation.
When we meditate, we imitate "the enlightened" non-dual state.
If I remember it right .... The Rosicrucian's have a formula: "Time-Space-Mind".
Buddhism talks about "Shunyata" .... emptiness .... which means silencing our minds into a space/emptiness like openness in the now.
1) Awareness ...
2) Space/Emptiness ....
3)Nowness/Openness ....
And as we practice this "trinity" .... insights start to flow (i.e. there is the discovery of non-dual awareness, that starts to shine, radiate, "sing" messages through .... )
These messages we can then in turn follow as threads; - to stalk ourselves .... in order to recapitulate entrapped energy-patterns within our energy bodies.
*********************
Ok. back to the colours of White and Red.
As mentioned red is a good ... excellent colour ! Personal Power ... strong Intent ... focusing of will .... all that .... a must really !
However ......
The Shaman's of Siberian past and the "Medicine Men" .... "The Elders" I've met here in Australia .... have got a common denominator.
They are all "Dead Shamans". Not that they are dead in the physical sense, but they all died to their "Separate Selves" at the time of their Initiation. Infinity swallowed them up & showed them "The Rule" .... how "The Universe Works" .... how Absolute - Relative - and the Energies between these polarities function ....
A Powerful Shaman in Siberian terms anyway .... is a Shaman, who doesn't perform his/her acts from the standpoint of Dual-Entrapment-of -The-Tick-Tock-Mechanical- Mind i.e. from the standpoint of his Separate Self as all mighty and powerfull ...... but from a standpoint of Non-Dual Energies as they flow in the Universe.
Because the Shaman acts as a link between Totality/Infinity/Spirit .... and the Manifest Reality ....therefore the Shaman is like how The Native Americans say : "A Hollow Bone". And nobody but nobody would like to be a Shaman ... because it would mean of having no attachments .... not to one's own dear life even ... it is the hardest call for anyone .... living.
**********************
We may not all be "Shamans" .... but still, we do have the power to create our own "Dreaming Reality" i.e. we can imitate the Shaman's link with Totality and work with Intent.
I've mentioned this before ...
Quote:in the Buddhist teachings the symbol for compassion is one moon shining while it's image is reflected in one hundred bowls of water. The moon does not demand: "If you open to me, I will do you a favour and shine on you". The moon just shines.
Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
To me it spells out two reference points; - the mooness and the water bowlness, and how to combine the two i.e. how to be "here" (water bowlness, relative reference point) and "there" (mooness, absolute .... albeit intuitive .... reference point) .... all at the same time. (Which is like bringing here and there together in terms of here and here, embodying both reference points into a single perception).
Having successfully combined the two reference points within one's awareness, one's being .... mind naturally goes still, enters into non-thought and surrenders .... which brings one back to basic simplicity, basic purity, basic beingness .... in-the-here-and-now .... which is a bit like being-left-nowhere .... or like being-all-dressed-up-and-nowhere-to-go .... kind of place.
So the next thing is to bring this "meditative state" into action.
The feeling I get doing this is like in Japanese Tea Ceremony ... or like doing Tai-Chi .... "time" seems to slow down a bit, which for me means that I have entered into an alpha state .... flow.
Performing non-thought-intent-actions in this meditative-state .... brings a sense of total aloness ... acting-in-the-eyes-of-eternity .... or totality .... kind of feel. Very haunting.
Intent actions are like how to combine intellect, emotion and movement.
Intellect gives intent it's direction, emotion it's energy and action/movement sets the whole intent in co-creative motion. As we know our thoughts, emotions and actions have their consequences, but aware thoughts (and non-thought specifically), aware emotions and aware actions have their aware consequences .... we discover a "Divine echo" .... to them.
In Summary:
Empty Internal Dialogue ... Enter into The Flow Zone & Focus your Intent on Building Personal Power ( i.e. Vital and Shining Energyfield) .... with Every Act You Do .... no matter how ordinary or little the act. (Remembering, that the quality or the Purity of your Energy Field determines what kind of energy you are likely to attract into your Presence and thus have manifested in your life ...... Taking Conscious and Full Responsibility of That .... In The Eyes-of ...Infinity/Totality/Spirit or God if you like. (As Fully Conscious Acts bring about more Awareness back to us).
The more our Energy-Fields start to Shine .... the greater it's Power of Attraction.
***
Now with this technique .... if we haven't worked with our minds .... we might manage to build up a total egomaniacal beast full of it's own superiority of it's own power. But it wouldn't take long for the paranoia of our core problem .... our subconscious fear about the truth of me "I" "The Separate Self" not having any real substance to set in .......And The Fear of Death (of our All-Powerfull-Dual-Ego-Minds) would drive us seek "Ally Powers" ..... and submit to their seductions .... A Fate Worse than Death is to seek (not the survival of awareness as such but ...) the survival of Ego (Powers).
So what do you do with this "Personal Power" you have built ?
Give it to Spirit .... to strengthen your personal link with Spirit. All of it !
And then start watching Spirit manifest miracles in your daily life !
The only safeguard of having power is not to have any !
Buddha is a Buddha .... because Buddha isn't a Buddha.
Shaman is a Shaman .... because Shaman isn't a Shaman, but a Hollow Bone .... and the more Hollow the Shaman becomes ... the greater the volume of the Power that can be channeled through him/her.
This is the colour White.
Keep those two colours in perfect balance at all times !
Whatever you want to see manifest in your life .... start building personal power in your energy field towards it ... focus on it .... start getting ready for it .... do everything you can .... then let go and let Spirit bring the manifestation of it to you by entering into receptivity of your intent to come to you.
But like the Shamans of the old we are free to intent a manifestation of something .... but not exactly free to choose what form that something intended will come into manifestation, to us. And the way to the manifestation is through signs and symbols and omens i.e. indications by Spirit.
If our intent f.e.x. is to bind some specific persons to us .... this is a violation of free will .... and shows that the person intending is still very much operating from Separate-Ego-Entrapment-Reference-Point and not truly co-creating with Spirit !
This is my blooming "map" ... one, that isn't worth a cent ! and one it is "time" for me to get rid off .... in order to enter into the flow ....
What's yours ?
Wasn't there a mention in one of the Castaneda books, that we need to take an "inventory" of our belief systems & "patterns" and once the inventory has been taken & energy stalked/freed from those patterns ... it is time to through it all away ! Isn't that the meaning of "Recapitulation" ?
Time to "loose one's mind and come to one's senses !"
Well .... the mind will still be a mechanical tool, but we would have managed to let go/free our identification with it ... as our awareness ....
