It was the most incredible experience I've ever had! I couldn't believe it - I was walking down the street and Ed comes out of the bar and says: "Hey - can I buy you a beer?"
And I thought: 'He's really talking to me?' I took a step closer - and he was still there standing in the doorway of the bar - my vision hadn't changed - I kept walking - slowly - steadily - I got there - I grasped his hand. I said: "Hi Ed!"
He said: "Come on in." Still. . .I could hardly believe what was going on. . .it was like in the movies - me? I was nobody - and here was Ed inviting me into a bar for a beer!
He said: "Sit yourself down right here" (on the bar stool next to him). I did, it felt incredible - and then the bartender put a big cold icy beer in front of me - and just as I was about to take my first sip - the whole vision changed! - I couldn't hold it!
Then I awoke abruptly back in my bed in Wyoming and realized that I was only 15 years old - and still too young to drink.
I rolled myself another reefer and cursed my luck.
