Well, just some impressions gotten from extrapolation The unknown, as I've experienced it, still smacks of the known....the 2nd attention has some basis in the first attention making it at least somewhat recognizable, though outrageous and malleable beyond the fixed ho-hum stability of the first attention. In speculating about the third attention, perhaps by comparison, is unknowable! At least in terms of recognizable form. It is empty of form...of fixed content...of fixed substance. It is pure, unobstructed intelligent awareness (maybe seen as flowing lines of pure colored light?) that flows freely, driven of its own curious/playful impetus through pure, unobstructed emptiness.

But that's just me guessing, based on some fleeting experience. The truth of it is, I don't have the slightest clue

Here's impressions about breaking through...just some personal feelings. Gazing seems like it may be a direct line to it. Upholding gazing amidst pure clear silence engenders a perceptual shift which can bring the second attention to light directly from the first attention. It takes sustained silence and detachment from focusing on the presumed "solidity" of the first attention to break through. I've done this a handful of times directly from 1st attention...at least to get a glimpse of second attention. The key, I would think, is to uphold that centralized, laser focus of silence while amidst the second attention, not getting lost in the details of that second attention, so that one can penetrate on through to the third attention. This seems like it would be more challenging (at least for the likes of me ) because the second attention is so damned fascinating! But, one would have to be able to penetrate through, not clinging to the pull of the wonders of this dreaming attention.

Again, some speculation based on some personal experience....much of it extrapolation. But, I can't confirm it honestly
