Leary and Castaneda
#1
Timothy Leary s  Flashbacks.
http://www.excludedmiddle.com/castaneda.htm
"The 'professor'
claimed that he was a 'warrior of the soul' and needed the
medicine women's assistance. He said his powers were being
attacked by an American (Leary) who possessed great magic that had
been stolen from the Mexican Indians."

They have met later together in 70s after Leary being released from federal prison and dr. Alpert became Ram Dass, whom Leared reffered as Ram de Ass, because dr. Alpert was a gay, or a faggot as Tim Leary has it reffered.

The character of 'La Catalina' appears in Castaneda's first book, The
Teachings of don Juan. In a very roundabout manner--some have said--this
character was modeled after Dr. Leary
