Deception
#1
“it's better to get something worthwhile done using deception than to fail to get something worthwhile done using truth.” ~CC
Is it true, that deception can be better for warriors to utilize?
I'm a person of principle, and would find it difficult to use deception to get what I want. But for diehard fans of CC, lol, what do you think?

I say, if you are going to use deception...use it for the nagual then. That makes it a win win for everyone involved.

I think once you are clear, impeccable , free completely, say, in the state that DJM was, then any tool is lawful to use. He deceived CC many times....but not for any self gain...

But I think that impeccability would naturally engender discord with that which is false...even for one's own purposes...why use a lie when one knows definitely the difference between what is true and what is delusion?
So many people cannot discern truth simply because they do not realize that they live in their own personal cloud of self-deception and self-importance and self-preservation...that is what makes them the opposite of warriors and especially impeccable warriors...

There's a fine line of distinction between deception and lies - at least with regard to how I perceive the two terms.  Lies are outright falsehoods, usually put forth with the conscious awareness of the speaker that they ARE lies.  Deception is often more subtle - there is the statement from DJM that warriors have to be "tricked" onto the path, and I would certainly agree with that.  If we knew at the beginning how difficult and solitary this path really is, I doubt any of us would agree to embark on it.  So we have to be tricked - and many times that "trickery" is a matter of us deceiving ourselves in all sorts of amusing ways.  By the time we realize we HAVE been deceived (whether by ourselve or our mentors), it's too late and we're hooked onto the path - and there are no regrets, but the moment of awakening to the realizxation that we have been deceived can be rather amusing, if not altogether devastating.  LOL.
In the beginning of my own path, my mentor "deceived" me several times, but as far as I know he never outright lied to me - and if he DID, I trust him enough to know he would have had a damn good reason that had nothing to do with gain or self-importance on his part.  A good mentor knows our "price" and uses that to draw us in.  DJM did it with CC and the old man in Karate Kid did it with the kid.  *gotta laugh*
Wax on.  Wax off.

As long as the deception is not for personal gain, there is nothing inherently bad about deception. Its only when its used for self serving purposes that it earns its negative reputation. Most people reside in tonal, few of us here are aware of the nagual, but being aware of it means we have to adjust our seeing to accommodate the differences of the two world perceptions due to the factors of integrity, impeccability which change the whole playing field of truth and untruth as its known in tonal realities.
