The idea behind Castaneda's teachings can be summed up in one principle - Impeccability, which breaks up into Unbending Intent and Personal Power. Personal Power is measured by the ability to manifest in reality, while Unbending Intent is measured by ability to withstand life's challenges. Both are slowly cultivated by following the 'Path of the Heart', which is the path a warrior chooses to follow in life to enter the Totality of Being.
Totality of Being is the final goal on the Path of the Warrior, which is reached when one looses the
Human Form and realizes the Dreaming Body. The essential attribute of the human form is Self-Reflection, which controls us through Self-Pity and Self-Importance, on the level of thoughts and emotions. These two obstacles on the path to freedom are implanted into our sub-consciousness through social conditioning and programming we receive from birth.
Only through Impeccability it is possible to reach the Place of No Pity, which negates the Place of Self-concern, the foundation of the Human Form. And finally, from the Place of No Pity, a warrior can dive into the lake of Silent Knowledge, meaning that his will joins the Divine Will.
The Assemblage Point is a place on our energy body, where the perception is put together from chaotic blend into an orderly set of emanations, that we call the World. Through practical realization of the existence of such point, it is possible to break
free from the deadly grip of the every day reality, and move perception to a different location in our dreaming body. Final result of such advancement is illumination of all the emanations of the dreaming body, the position knows as 'Total Freedom'.
The Key to Castaneda, as well as all other sacred teachings and spiritual disciplines, is located in STOPPING THE INTERNAL DIALOGUE, everything else is just a means to achieve it. Nothing can change our idea of the world or ourselves, except stopping the internal dialogue. All the paths eventually lead to one essence - being free from all reason and conceptualization. A inner-silent state of being is the core of all teachings.
I am already given to the power that rules my destiny.
I don't hold on to anything, therefore I have nothing to defend.
I have no thoughts, therefore I will SEE.
I fear nothing, therefore I shall remember myself.
Unattached, with a light soul,
I will fly past the Eagle to be free.
