Hi Ravens,
I posted this on "Tales of Power" under the subject heading "Lone Wolf" but it might be more appropriate here.
Re: He had to reach the end of himself before becoming..

Hi Wolf,
"ThanKs Mays..you both inspire me with your insights as well."
A slip of the pen perhaps?
I think not.
I am having a very difficult time bringing the recollection of my dreams with me as I awaken. Even though I am repeating the elements of those dreams over and over again in order to remember them.
Is it because there are two of me functioning each in it's
own environment and not able to cross over?
I have experienced this before with certain waking visions I've had. It seems to take an enormous amount of will to retain some experiences and bring them to the point where they are available to waking consciousness.
Something to do with "Totality" I think.
To learn to balance on that razors edge consciousness between waking and sleeping and to practice it often may be the answer. I remember this excercise given to Carlos by Zuleica in the "Eagles Gift". It had to do with being "rolled in on oneself."
Another sorceress described it to Carlos as the "flip" I believe. To bring the two awarenesses together. (left and right side)
Which I experience in a different way during meditation. We called it going into the "subconscious" which is seated in the Solar plexus area. (Don Juan says the navel area)
Don Juan said (also in the "Eagles Gift"), that losing the human form was the only way to break the "shell" of our luminous core.
"To break the shell means remembering the other self, and arriving at the totality of oneself."
I will try this excercise for a while and see what effects it has.
Bob
