I learnt that when dreaming, most of us define this state as the "time when we go to sleep". By changing the way we define this state called dreaming, I realized, could change what we experience. I found out by accident when checking a book on how the Higher Self defines sleep...I read it and saw "When you're awake, when you wake up, when you're aware that you're dreaming" etc. and other notes on becoming lucid.
I also chose to change my definitions and said to myself, in affirmation style "Sleep is when I wake up, when I'm aware, Dreaming is when I'm awake and am aware". That night, I had vivid dreams which were high quality. It's like I was aware during the whole time and had become lucid. Unfortunately, I hadn't but came close to it.
