Redefining dreaming
#1
I learnt that when dreaming, most of us define this state as the "time when we go to sleep". By changing the way we define this state called dreaming, I realized, could change what we experience. I found out by accident when checking a book on how the Higher Self defines sleep...I read it and saw "When you're awake, when you wake up, when you're aware that you're dreaming" etc. and other notes on becoming lucid.

I also chose to change my definitions and said to myself, in affirmation style "Sleep is when I wake up, when I'm aware, Dreaming is when I'm awake and am aware". That night, I had vivid dreams which were high quality. It's like I was aware during the whole time and had become lucid. Unfortunately, I hadn't but came close to it.

Very cool. Yes I agree completely. When I first got into dreaming I read much info on it and saw that the more I learned the further my dreaming experience enhanced. I think we should read as much as we can and learn whats out there then pick and choose what we align.

It's true that the knowledge and awareness we possess can assist us greatly. It's good to craft knowledge that will do exactly this.

I've had similar experiences when I was focusing my attention on knowledge such as what you suggested not only but I've had breaks of continuity in my daily life and incredible feelings of lightness, clarity, power, and equanimity. That is all while in the midst of my day doing whatever I am doing I was intending to align dreaming perceptions while I'm awake and dream while I'm awake a lot back then. I experienced incredible states and saw things from an immensely different angle.

The fluidity of such awareness led me to see much beyond my constraints in the unknown.
