Years back, I was at the Dragonfly Lounge on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood checking out some friends' band. Out of the blue, Scott Weiland and
Stone Temple Pilots walk on stage and start performing. They had been out of the spotlight for awhile, and I had never seen them live before, so I was fully
prepared to be unimpressed. Lord knows, there's no shortage of has-beens trying to make comebacks in small venues. Appearance wise, they looked just like
any other band, maybe even less polished. But, when Weiland started singing, it's as if his voice penetrated every square inch of the place and took
control of everyone's consciousness with instantaneous agreement. I thought to myself, "holy ****, this is why he's a rock star", as fire
trucks and police cars filled the street in front of the bar and crowds of people gathered around outside. Of course, I felt pretty lucky to be inside the
place at that moment. It was basically like being in a collective dream while in the waking world, nobody had to tell me who had the energy or the power that
night, it was obvious. And, that's pretty much my take on Nagualism, if I can't feel the energy, I don't give a *** about the words.

PS: he did not end very well 14 years ago, something must have been wrong amongst what he knew/wrote.

Listen....I've extended apologies to those I was harsh with when I felt like I was "kind of a big deal" ofver at PP. You two were on the receiving end of that more than once I know. It was disrespectful and intolerant. For that, I sincerely apologize. I want abstract affection to be my bottom line, differences of view or no. i'm further along that road I feel and hopefully a sense of friendship can be the base of our exchanges from now on instead of my self-righteousness.

Bah....excitement is more expansive than dread. Even in the face of one's demise.

Or maybe exhilaration....that may be the better word. Has more a whole body connotation than excitement. And its got the same basic intensity as fear...but with a subtle yet fundamental difference. A little shift, like the flick of a butterflies wings, that completely transforms everything in the crucial moment.
