I mentioned in a reply to a post about remembering dreams a dream where some pirates showed up and I want to go into a little more detail about it. The first
and longest part was about my personal life and about my folly I believe as i look at it from a castnedan veiwpoint. It had to do with some talent in music and
art that i have that i didn't have an opportunity to develope in my earlier life being poor and brought up by methodical small reality tunnel methodists,
over-dumesticated and worn down by the world people. I began to develope some of these things about 6 years ago when my kids got old enough for me to leave my
small town and go somewhere new where i met artists and musicians , friends interested in mysticism and sustainable living--it was a good place for me. It made
me very aware of what i missed growing up and i was envious at times of my friends who had more accsess and oportunity to develope their gifts. That is what
the first part of the dream was about. It was the state fair(except it was not like the state fair that much) and some of my friends were performing--i wanted
to perform but my instruments were at the small town where i live again (i moved back to babysit for my first grandchild(in "real" life))A friend
in the dream said i should do my hungry ghost performance(in the waking world i don't have a hungry ghost performance) but i didn't think they would
have an organ available, i didn't ask though and that part of the dream had a tone of self-pity. Then as i was sitting in the grandstand the pirates
appeared and they were real pirates and the one pirate who i took as captain sang the song about kissing the holy saints and then kissed his fingers and those
of his fellow seamen--he was a jovial ol seaturd. Then, and it is not clear to me whether this happened as i was waking up or after i woke up but i woke up and
saw some tiny squarish black dots hovering by my hand as a cloud of gnats might look and i wondered if they were bacteria--i have had tooth infection and been
feeling sick lately like way too tired --don't know if it is from the tooth or not(got it pulled on Monday though). Another poster i read here was
wondering whether he had been cursed and i have had the same thought lately with some things going "wrong" and my little garden getting sick so i
wondered about that with regard to the hovering dots . Then i read here about non-organic life forms and wondered if they were that and upon reading about
tantra and the siddhis i wondered if they were those pirates could be ancient adepts who sharank down to a tinyness to speak to me in my dream state. Anyway--i
don't have to know what they were but they were sure od and they and the pirates were such a surprize considering the everydayness of the first and larger
part of the dream. I now see the dream as pointing to the desirability of learning controlled folly and contnuing to develope my gifts including the so-called
paranormal which i experience from time to time esp after i made that big move 6 years ago. So if anyone has any thoughts about this, esp. the pirates and the
hovering cloud of dots, i would appreciate it
