"Everyone can see, but they choose not to remember what they see"
So we live in a remembered moment. Or we live in a forgotten moment. Always one step behind ourselves. Always one step behind our "Filtering Mechanism".
It's kind of like when you say something in your mind, just to try it out before speaking the thought.
Just one second too late.
My dreams have been that way lately.
A month ago, it had been going on for two months or so, I would awaken with my mind bursting with information. I wasn't dreaming per se, but I was being taught in my sleep.
I would awaken with knowledge that I did not have when I went to sleep. Mostly revelations concerning the Bible.
During that time period I was experiencing a lot of energy during meditations. I am still experiencing that, but it is different now.
I'm not sure which book it was, Maybe the Eagles Gift, when Carlos finds out that he has forgotten large portions of his life and people of Don Juan's generation of sorcerers. His task is to remember the knowledge that he gained during that time of Dreaming. This was his "Task",.. the "Sorcerer's Task", I think it was called.
In my "philosophy" if you want to call it that, I have been promised that the Holy Spirit will "teach me of things to come",..and "bring all things to my rememberence,..whatsoever I have ben told by Jesus".
Still there are these "dry times" when I cannot remember my dreams. But I don't stop trying.
In the story of Joseph and his brothers, in the Bible, there are similarities to Carlos' "Task".
The twelve brothers Sons of Jacob are split apart because out of Jealousy, because of his dreams, Joseph's older brothers sell him into slavery.
Many years pass and then the brothers are reunited. This is reaching the totality of oneself. The twelve brothers are symbolic of the twelve "faculties" of man.
The reuniting of them happens and they are allowed to live in a land named Goshen which means Unity. Jacob and his twelve sons make 13 which also is the number of unity.
In this new land of Goshen, just before Jacob dies, twin sons are born to Joseph. There names are Manassah and Effraim, which names mean "Understanding", and "Causing to Forget".
There are connections here that I do not yet understand, but the similarities are many more than I'm writting here.
There is a barrier to remembering our dreams. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not.
It just may be that that is for a reason. I think sometimes God is not letting me remember because it is not yet the right time. Like maybe I am being taught something that needs to be completed before revealing the entire picture all at one time.
Maybe all of the brothers are not yet in Goshen.
