residual self image and healing
#1
"Your appearance now is what we call residual self image. It is the mental projection of your digital self." - Morpheus to Neo
"Dreaming begins as a unique state of awareness arrived at by focusing the residue of consciousness, which one still has when asleep, on the elements, or the features, of one's dreams.
The residue of consciousness, called the second attention, is brought into action, or is harnessed, through exercises of not-doing . The essential aid to dreaming is a state of mental quietness, called "stopping the internal dialogue," or the "not-doing of talking to oneself."
"The dreaming body , sometimes called the "double" or the "Other," because it is a perfect replica of the dreamer 's body, is inherently the energy of a luminous being, a whitish, phantomlike emanation, which is projected by the fixation of the second attention into a three-dimensional image of the body.
The dreaming body is as real as anything we deal with in the world. The second attention is unavoidably drawn to focus on our total being as a field of energy, and transforms that energy into anything suitable. The easiest thing is of course the image of the physical body, with which we are already thoroughly familiar from our daily lives and the use of our first attention. What channels the energy of our total being to produce anything that might be within the boundaries of possibility is known as will .
At the level of luminous beings the range is so broad that it is futile to try to establish limits--thus, the energy of a luminous being can be transformed through will into anything."

With this thread I just want to point out the possibility of altering one's residual self-image in the dream - for example, to a younger version of oneself -
and then bringing this awareness back to the physical body and imprinting it to cause physical change - youth or healing.
The first task is to change your residual self image. This is basically self-explanatory if you know how to use your will.
As far as imprinting the physical body with the characteristics of the dreaming body, this too is a matter of will, but it helps
to lay down into your physical body without total re-entry and let the physical feel and remember the dreaming position
and everything associated with it. It's like trying to remember a dream as you're waking up, but you want to remember the
feeling of being whole or younger - you want your cells to feel it, in every way imagineable. You want to wake up in that feeling.
ps - I am not encouraging sorcery over freedom. That's up to you. I'm just reporting a tale from Infinity. Do what you want with it.

"Residue of consciousness" is very telling.

Attention is an echo of an echo of an echo... a dream within a dream...
