autumn dreaming
#1
i am curious to know how everyone's lucid dreaming has been.
once the seasons began to change, my dreaming really took a dive. of course, this could be just something particular to myself, but i am wondering if anyone else is having this issue. in ayurveda, fall is a "vata" season. vata is a cold, dry, windy sort of energy. it is the most subtle of the three doshas and is the most easily unbalanced. of course, individuals who already have a large amount of this energy in their system are even more prone to imbalance at this time of year. i have noticed my inner dialogue running rampant and that is impeding my dreaming. winter is a kapha season, and kapha is a dense, cool, moist energy - so i'm wondering if things will pick up when the solstice arrives, but i am still curious to know if anyone is experiencing these kind of interruptions in their dreaming? some typical signs of high vata might be things like: restlessness, constipation, joints cracking / some kinds of arthritis, dry skin, racing thoughts, constant activity or desire for movement.

Autumn lays bare the beginnings of the power of death. I want to keep dying every minute so I can live. My focus for some years now has been on this dying in my tonal and the life that comes in its place. I don't remember dreams consistently or get lucid frequently. I had the longest lucid I ever had a few or two weeks ago after a large move out of my ruts. It was around two hours. I did some flying and shifted into a crow. I did some other things along those lines but also did some practical hand looking and looking at things in the dream. I have barely remembered a dream since. Since I am not a regular dreamer I don't know if this time it's the vata season or my current pattern of dreaming. I am having more waking dreaming, walking in a world of wonder. Maybe in time I will have enough tonal cleared to dream. If the dreaming helps this waking dream we are all living I am for it.

Hello, Moths!

I can't say that if my Dreaming is affected by the seasons I know of it. Perhaps it is and I'm just unawares??

What I do know is that my Dreaming changes on a weekly/monthly cycle. Mostly in-line with the moon waning or waxing. Keep in mind that I don't know dick about astrology or astronomy. I do enjoy the nightime though, and am a good moon gazer as well as a star gazer. Planets are fun to gaze at as well. I gather my crystals, build a bonfire on a full moon and it's heaven on earth at my place! :-) I'm a big fan of gazing, it's assisted my Dreaming quite a bit...
