Using Writing as a Form of Recap
#1
Writing is a wonderful tool to use for recap.  It allows us to explore the desires deepest to us.  It also allows us to share with others because many of us have a desire to be heard and feel useful.
We might even begin to wonder if we're writing for others or really ourselves.
I mean, for example, take myself.  I used to write a lot.  To anybody who would listen or read me.  I'd take topics and pull them into existence, telling others how to live, how to do it correctly, how they're doing it incorrectly.  Such a mess I was.  Thinking I was writing for them when honestly, I eventually realized I was writing for myself.  Processing my discoveries and holding a desire to inflict that perspective on everyone.
After that period of transition, I learned I don't know enough about people to truly understand how they process anything.  Most of self-realization is internal, after all.  What manifests as outward expression is only a glimmer of what transpires on the inside.  It was a humble awakening to realize I knew nothing.
To this day, I enjoy knowing nothing because it means there is wonder and amazement at every turn.  A new world on every horizon.  A chance to discover something new and inspiring.  A world full of trees with ripe fruit at the ends of those branches.  Worthy of consuming and using the seed at the end to plant a new tree.  A different tree, which bears the same fruit.
