~Here’s a marvelous stalking technique for the Internet as
almost everyone spends time with it.
Let’s take this Sorcery board right here as an example. What the first word you see on this board
when you navigate to this page?
Nagual? What’s that mean to
you? Why? Where does this lead your internal
dialogue? Look into that and write it
all down, think through it, write some more.
Repeat. What emotions are
involved in just that one word, whatever word you see first? Emotions run your preferences, so why do you
prefer one word, way or whatever over another?
Look at that emotion and follow it all the way back to when you first
learned it. Follow it all down as far as
it goes, which is as far as you go.
Perhaps the first thing you saw was a persons name on the
board. What is this person to you? Why?
Where does this lead your internal dialogue? If you like or dislike this individual, why
is that? Look at YOUR reactions. Write them all out. Look at them from all angles, especially the
emotional preferences.
This is much more difficult that you think. It takes critical thinking to really get into
it. Why do you enjoy posts from one
person and not another? What is the
preference of ‘like?’ What does this
mean? They agree with your belief
system? They are nice to you in chat or
in posts? What does dislike mean to
you? An authoritative or egotistical
manner of behavior? Remember now, this
ISN’T about analyzing THEM, it’s about looking inward towards your emotional
belief system, your system of choice and preference.
Spend a lot of time with this. This isn’t something to be skimmed over. A couple minutes on each word or each person
isn’t going to do it. First and
foremost, it has nothing to do with any word or person but your emotional belief
system and how you perceive with it, emotionally think about it and then form
the opinion and then perhaps act it out.
BE with yourself.
Look inside. It’s Ok to think
here, to use your internal dialogue.
It’s here for a reason, a tool to be used. It will naturally fall away once the lens is
cleaned and some light is allowed in to illuminate all the emotional
beliefs. Once the light hits them and
the attachments are no more, THEN a quiet mind just naturally arises.
Most everything is backwards and this is what I’m attempting
to dispel. ‘Silence the internal
dialogue, perform meditation, use the 30 second awareness technique to observe
your surroundings and everything will cease.’
Sure it will. It’s a practice of
denial. My teacher who I just killed
(metaphorically of course) several years ago has been doing this now for
some…38 years at last count. Yet,
everything is still here/there, it’s just been trained to lurk in the
background. Like a barking dog that’s
been whipped into submission, to stay in his little doghouse. One pointed comment or question, or several
as he’s had so many years of practice, and BAM!
All the skeletons in the closet come tumbling out. Or, like most sages, they avoid anything and
just babble inanities until someone gets tired of speaking or listening. Is this how you want to live? In a state of constant denial where
everything is shoved out of conscious thought?
Behavioral interpretation and Dream interpretation is good at revealing
these folks in denial as well. I won’t
go into that though, it’s not the point.
Point being, stop with the outward and just turn
inward. …and not inward as in meditation
is medication, but in critical thought of how YOU operate. I know, I know, 99% are telling you just the
opposite. Yet, let me ask you, how is
that working out for them? Or, better
yet, how is that working out for YOU? I
see folks who have been around for years still plodding in circles. That’s fine if you want to be a nice person,
improve your life a little, etc. I’m
talking to the folks who want something more.
Here’s an example…
In chat the other day a new member (to me) arrived. Another member was giving all this sagely
advice on how she should live her life.
The question was (finally) asked, “What do you want?” (This should have been the FIRST question
asked, not a bunch of self help advice, but I digress.) She simply replied that she wanted to burn
from the fire from within and enter the third attention.
BAM! This SHOULD have
been a red flag. At least it was for
me. Sounds pretty clear right? Yet, after that was stated, the same ole’
shitty advice was given about avoiding the Work and rearranging the deck chairs
on the sinking Titanic.
What part of ‘burn’ don’t people understand? ‘Burn’ from the ‘fire’ ‘within.’ Is meditation burning anything? No, it’s the natural result of the process,
not the process itself. Is self help and
being nice and living in bliss and gazing at shiny objects have anything to do
with setting yourself on fire, burning from within? *** no.
What did Don Juan mention to Carlos in The Active Side of Infinity? That he’d not recapped enough, or not
properly. He had not thrown it ALL into
the fire. What doesn’t burn? The fire itself, the I-Am/Consciousness. Everything else need be burned. …and this only takes a couple years of hard
work.
With all that said, if you want to be a better person, a
nicer person, looking for love, whatever, as you are, then this post is not for
you. There’s nothing wrong with that,
and what I suggest is in no way ‘better’ than any other way. Yet, as this is a board seeming dedicated to
Carlos and what he described, I’d have thought that some were interested in
what he described. Perhaps he has to
much pretty misdirection in the books.
Perhaps you got lost in the fanciful stories. Who knows?
Life is but a dream, and at least for me, I prefer to be
awake, lucid within it. I spent 42 years
unawake so that’s enough for me.
SHM
P.S. – If you see this as a self important post, good! Take all of that judgment that’s in your head
right now and write it down. Dig into it
and see what I’ve written that bothers you.
What emotions does it stir?
Why? Are you different than I
am? A better person? Look at all of that. Where is it coming from? Where did it start? Who are you?
Thank you for your time.
