Recapitulation insights
#1
The personal histories we recap are the many events that we have
allowed to siphon off our energy. These events are triggers that bleed
us over and over. These triggers/events/energetic infections are not the
anchors that lock one within the consensual band. Those anchors are
more deeply seated; belief in natural laws, definitions of living
organisms, reliance on senses (or devices that mimic and amplify sensory
perception), dependency on form, and so on.

These limiting concepts can be released via the process of entering
higher attentions. This is the necessary means, because our inventory will not reach beyond the tonal and recapping will not encompass them.
For example, while I can say that there is no need for water, food,
sunlight, moderate temperatures and sensory identification for life to
exist…. one won’t grasp that without the experience. A mental
realization is not knowledge. It is continuous higher experience which
saturates the tonal being and forces the flier out.

Detachment from cultural beliefs is only a mental epiphany. Short-lived and easily forced out by the flier mind. If you
can grasp a concept, it is tonally based. Right now, your flier mind is
seeking ways to encompass higher concepts so it can remain in charge. We
cannot use the mind to get beyond the mind. Thus as always, I say learn
to shift!

The idea that we need to help the Earth, while popular is misconceived. We ARE consuming a lot of
life (as we perceive life...) but that idea is the product of our miniscule
tonal perception. She is a stupendous being with such a vast field of
energy and perception that our own is nearly non-existent in this form,
relatively speaking. It is the flier that applies tries to apply the tonal conceptual beliefs to the infinite. We continually attempt to carry our folly into
the Nahual! As probes, we are probing from the Nahual into these
peripheral dual tonal realms. We are “Infinite Probes”! We are not probing the
higher worlds from our tonal fixation; its the other way around. Inside
out, inside out, inside out.

Nice i.e. those perennial cognitive inflections, which barely require any effort on our part since so mechanized, which render the world seemingly solid and, more than that, boring as hell.

I remember Carol Tiggs, at a seminar once, saying we have to walk around looking at things as if we are on mars. Point being, cultivating that state of perception which perceives the inherent weirdness of things...which makes room for a sense of awe...not from an ideologic standpoint...but from an experienctial one...one which is in awe because of the dawning realization that we really don't know what we are perceiving...or cannot really categorize it..it's too awesome! The image of dawning realization is standing, looking at something which was previously so familiar...taken for granted...and having that view unravel and expand into something beyond words..something which saturates our being..engaging all of our fibers...forcing them to stretch out to apprehend it. The mouth drops open...slack...in awe

We may be probes from Infinity and Beyond...but we've forgotten it....so it's like probing back to remember/recover that connection...or some inkling of it...so that we probing further with greater intensity and gusto mondo lol

One of the more effective not-doings is looking at a printed page (or an electronic page) of text. Focus on a single space between words. Then visually attach it to another one, and another, and another... until you can see an entire page of spaces! Shift back to the text and do it again. Then look around and you will see all the spaces that dominate perception. With practice it becomes easy to shift away from the so-called physical view!

Interesting DG! Just now looked at some roof tile and instead of seeing tile, I saw the spaces. How rarely is the entire scene viewed, how habitual it is to focus on "object" instead of spaces between.

Great exercise....and something within jumps to acknowledge that its effective.
I posted this vision in another forum once...please forgive of some of you have read it before...but it relates specifically here so....
I remember having a vision once, years ago. Happened at a stop light while driving after inwardly complaining about how I felt compelled to play along with the social script..saying what was expected whenever the moment arose in an interaction.  In the vision, my view of the "world" went dark..as if having a day-dream but far more dominating and vivid.  The darkness became a back drop of stars, galaxies, nebulae.  And then I saw a colossal representation of the social script...a paragraph of sentences of white words suspended out there in space...very much akin to the beginning script in the Star Wars movies...except these were just hanging there not moving.  Then, as I watched, I saw the space between the words...between the letters...dilate outward in every direction....progressively creating unfathomable volumes of space between the words and letters of that script.  That space between the words/letters just kept growing and growing until the words themselves became unrecognizable.  Then the vision vanished and the light turned green.  Looking back, I know the vision represented the essence of what is behind the exercise you are describing here.
Thanks Doc!
