BEing Impeccable
#1
There is a story about a warrior, all bound up in an oxcart,
being taken form the mountains down to the town square
to have his head cut off. Half way in the mountain, maybe hour or two before the execution, soldiers
stopped to get some watter. One soldier sees a fig tree, picks a few figs,
turns around and feels sorry for the warrior and offers him one fig.
The warrior says "No thank you, they're bad for my health"

I like this story very much.
You can look at it from different angles.
He stays impeccable althought there is no apparent reason
for doing that, no profit, nothing in it for him. He is
going to die so why not having a fig ?
Even when we set noble goals like enlightement, freedom,
it is usualy foolish game orchestraded by FI and the name of the game is
"what's in it for me".
Don't care about success or failure,
even if you know you're short of time and it makes no sense to carry on.
Be impeccable like this warrior.

Who knows though? Eating the fig might have given him diarrhea so much so that the soldiers might have distanced themselves from the smell just enough for him to wiggle an escape?
I do get the point, but there's also other angles..there always are.."The Reality Is That You Will Die. The Uncertainty Is What Will Happen After That.."
