Kneejerk responses from average men equal captivity to the flier's intent. Kneejerk responses from impeccable warriors equal the spirit's intent.
That is the crucial difference. One is a path of self-indugence and captivity, the other one of self-discipline and freedom/partnership with the spirit.
Or in very simple terms: one is malignant and the other beneficial"The Reailty Is That You Will Die. The Uncertainty Is What Will Happen After That.."

Kneejerk responses are responses as though one is an automaton, like in being pre-programmed.
Being pre-programmed doesn't appear to me as having a link with Spirit....

Blackbeard is right but his approach is like a scientist. Ssil is right in that a warrior's reaction when correct is often the reaction he should follow.

Me personally throw out all the traditional knee jerk responses or simply put syntax and embrace another view of the world that is more in accordance of the real world that deals with the cosmos or universe by adapting a new syntax that explains the world in a more complete explanation than science or the Bible.
