Astrology & us
#1
Dear Artnwere (and Singer)
I just reread your posts in birthday thread.
It was giving the second time too!
You do hit the spot on some important issues for me.
- To accept with the wound, but not dwell in it
- educating scared warriors
- Opening the door of the importance of Chiron
And the last point opens for me to ask for your and Singers advice.
Currently i have:
- progressiv MC conj. Chiron and opp. Uranus and Pluto
- transit Chiron conj MC
- progressiv moon conj AC
- transit Neptune trine AC
- Progressiv AC trine Neptune
Im born 25 nov 1965 in denmark. AC 16.40 gemini MC 5.49 Aquarius
Would you share some of your insights in this process?
Also i would like to hear of some good books on Chiron as it appears that there is a Path for me there...
My life these days..
I been to a sesshin (meditation retreat) with Zen master Harada Shodo Roshi and it did give me a profound and deep experience, that i have difficulty with applying to my everyday life.
Also i was just fired from one job and there for need to find another - but what kind of job should i go for?

Life cant continue the same way any more and I need to find that new way.
Best wishes to you all

Thought these articles on outer planets were good:
Higher Octave of Being
A century ago H. P. Blavatsky wrote that Uranus and Neptune are in but not of the solar system. More recently, Rudhyar stressed that the outer planets, which he called Galactic Ambassadors, are subject to the pull of the galactic center.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto challenge us to shift our loyalties to a higher center, to realize a new, more inclusive sense of relationship to all that is. In a few words, the three outer planets represent the process of modulation to a higher octave of being, activity and consciousness. Each of the three outer planets symbolizes a particular step along the path to the galactic center, and the sort of tests and teachers the aspirant is likely to encounter along the way.
Uranus
Uranus strikes Saturn's fortifications, whether they are the walls of the ego or national boundaries. It breaks down old patterns supporting the ego and social privilege. Uranus helps us realize that we can be more, that a next step in human evolution is possible, and it inspires us to take that step into the unknown. It opens up and keeps open the path to the galactic center, to the unanimous Community of the Stars, whose members are urging us to join them.
Neptune
Neptune symbolizes the dissolution of the barriers Uranus broke up. Its keynotes are detachment, nonpossessiveness and universality.
On a higher octave, Neptune symbolizes universal companionship and the sense of "oneness." It is the planet most connected with mysticism and the mystic's drive toward the unitive state.
Pluto
While Neptune is the planet of mysticism, Pluto is the planet of the true occultist and his or her work with unseen forces. Pluto is the great reducer, stripping away all that is unessential, leaving nothing but what simply is. Ruthlessly destroying all glamour, Pluto is the power enabling one to cast away all but one's essential dharma, one's fundamental truth of being. In so doing, it presents the possibility of rebirth, and it produces the conditions leading to reintegration around a new center of being.
In other words, after Uranus and Neptune have done their work, Pluto provides a new center of integration and the means to reach it.
Octave
Higher octave is a term from the discipline of music. A higher octave has a certain quality, and when working together with a lower octave, it creates a certain fullness. Octave comes from the Latin octo, meaning eight. There are eight notes in the C scale (CDEFGABC); the lower and higher C are an octave apart. The higher one is exactly twice the frequency of the lower, so that they sound almost the same. For example, a tenor and a soprano singer will be in unison, but an octave apart. Octaves relate to the purest of overtones. The lower note has the higher one as one of its overtones, so that they are in harmony with each other. The octave is the most fundamental overtone. Technically, the overtones of a certain note start at a large interval at the bottom, then get smaller hyperbolically until they cluster almost imperceptibly at the very high notes. They usually proceed as: octave, fifth, fourth, third, etc, getting incrementally smaller as they get higher in tone, leading to white noise at the top, usually beyond the human range of hearing. When notes are not in harmony, that is, not part of the overtones, they are called dissonant and tend to beat or pulse because the frequencies are fighting each other. Sometimes this dissonance can be effective, such as in the blues notes. An octave is noticeable because the notes sound the same, except one is higher up. The combined sound of two different octaves can be described as fuller. Many chords in the bass of the piano or instruments playing the lower notes in the orchestra are in octaves, and give a more rounded and fuller sound. This suggests that accessing the higher octaves astrologically creates more fullness in life. Some planets, namely the personal planets, benefit from the extra help of the higher octaves, while the social planets do not. Perhaps the social planets, like the luminaries that also stand alone in their strength and power, are strong enough so as not to need assistance.

Saturn as the gateway to the outer planets
Saturn can represent a limitation, a barrier, a wall, a boundary. Saturn is the planet that divides Jupiter and the personal planets and the Sun and Moon from the outer planets. The rings of Saturn are like a wedding band marrying the inner and the outer system.
Saturn also represents the Gateway or doorway to the outer planets - the point where we can go beyond our limitations, walls, and boundaries. Importantly, through this gateway, we can move away from the most important barrier: the limitations of our own minds.
The outer planets symbolize higher states of consciousness. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. We move from personal thoughts and perceptions (Mercury) to the Universal Mind (Uranus); we move from thinking to Knowing. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus; we move from personal love (Venus) to Divine Love (Neptune). Pluto is the higher octave of Mars; we move from self-will (Mars) to Divine Will (Pluto).
How do we gain entry into these states of consciousness? Simple. By taking complete responsibility for who you are, for where you find yourself, for all of your relationships, and quite simply everything you experience in your life. Accepting responsibility is a prerequisite for happiness and allows you to experience the highest states of consciousness represented by the outer planets.
Lets look at keywords and concepts for the outer planets. Uranus symbolizes the concepts of uniqueness and originality. Where ever Uranus is situated in a natal chart shows where we are in touch with the need to express our originality in some way. When transiting Uranus contacts a natal planet, we enter a period of change, liberation, and moving out of old ruts (willingly or unwillingly!). To express completely and wholly the truth of who we are becomes paramount. Any limitations (Saturn) we experience during this time can seem intolerable. Uranus symbolizes the Universal Mind and, in this sense, we have a knowing when we are experiencing Uranus that we are all equal. Not equal as in the same - but equal in that there is no hierarchy - no one is better that anybody else. Each person is unique.
We experience this knowing when we are taking responsibility for our lives. When we forget this knowing, we feel trapped. We make the mistake of thinking that another human being has authority over us. And when we think this, we may feel rebellious and turn our attention to convincing the other person to give us our freedom. The more our time is spent trying to convince a person to free us, or resenting them for the fact that they are not freeing us, the less we are remembering to free us. So, when we take responsibility (Saturn) we experience liberation, equality, and our uniqueness (Uranus). When we dont assume responsibility, we feel trapped because we think that someone else holds the key to our freedom.
When we are in touch with Neptune at its highest level, we remember that we are all ONE. We realize that we all grains of sand on a beach; we are all drops of water in the ocean. We experience unity and our divinity. This state is very much like the feeling that we get when we watch a beautiful sunset or geese flying south against a cold winter sky. We may get this feeling when we are listening to a particularly beautiful piece of music. When we are in this state we feel connected to everything and everyone. We are connected to Divine Love. This is a feeling knowing which is different from the mental knowing of Uranus. Neptune moves our heats and souls evoking peacefulness, gentleness, and beauty.
We experience this Neptune knowing when we are taking responsibility for our lives. We realize that there is no difference between giving and receiving. There is no lack or gain. There is no sacrifice because if we are all One, who would we be sacrificing to? When we forget this knowing, we experience Neptune by feeling victimized. When we are in this state, we expend our energy trying to convince others to treat us better or we spend our time resenting the fact that they dont treat us better. The more time that is spent resenting others for not treating us well or trying to get them to treat us better, the less we are remembering to treat our self better. We are not taking responsibility for our life, if we are not treating our self well. We are placing our well being in someone elses hands. So, when we take responsibility (Saturn), we experience empathy, compassion, beauty, our divinity, our Oneness. When we dont assume responsibility, we feel victimized, in emotional pain, and separate from other human beings.
When we are in touch with Pluto at its highest level, we know we are truly co-creators of life. In a constant process of creation and transformation, we experience our power through the infinite number of choices and options we create. Experiencing Pluto through our highest consciousness is to be in a process of surrender. This is experienced as a total trust in life. Whereas the call of Mars is my will be done, Plutos is Thy Will be done.
When we experience Pluto in this way, we experience and, importantly, trust our creative power. This is experienced at such a deep level, that many people shy away from this encounter. After all, Pluto is the God of the Underworld! To truly trust our power, we must first face all of those parts that are petty, mean, hateful, and ungiving. Only when these parts are fully and squarely faced, will the wounds that created them be healed. Only then will the door open, the Gateway of Saturn. Our capacity to create and to experience our full power is stymied by fear and a lack of trust.
One of the most common manifestations of Pluto is the penchant for handing our power over to someone else and then either fighting to get the power back from that person or simply resenting the person for having power over us. When we refuse to experience our power, we are avoiding having to experience the full power of our emotions; we do not trust our self to take charge of our own lives. We do not trust ourselves period.
Taking responsibility for our life, entails allowing full expression of our creative power and, importantly, allowing others their full expression. When we forget that we are powerful, we spend our time trying to control and manipulate other people to get them to do what we want them to do. When we remember, we know that no one has power over us but that our power comes from us.
Accepting responsibility (Saturn) allows you to experience your uniqueness (Uranus), your divinity (Neptune), and your power (Pluto). Otherwise you feel trapped (Uranus), victimized (Neptune), and powerless (Pluto). In fact, these three words serve as good barometers to help you stay on track. If you feel trapped, victimized or powerless, you can ask yourself, What am I not taking responsibility for here?

If you go to:
www.alabe.com
... and have your birth chart done there, Yods, if you have got them will show up on your chart looking like a triangle (with one short side in colour blue and two long sides in colour green.
The point where the long sides meet is called the Apex (of a Yod).
What is a Yod ...... ?
A Finger of God ?
Also called the Finger of Fate or Yod. Comprises two planets in sextile (60) aspect to each other, each making a 150 aspect focused on the same third planet (opposing their midpoint). Indicative of a special life purpose, it creates the sensation of steadiness, special passion, deep aspiration and a strong inner drive to accomplish something very important and special.
Finger of God, configurations, squeeze an individual toward a higher destiny. This is an extremely heavy, very rare pattern that will affect us all in radical ways. Sacrifice whatever you need to, since its not necessary any more. The space you create in your mind and life will be filled with what you need to live the higher destiny that youve idealized for a while.
Your Life's Mission ?
A Yod indicates special esoteric, spiritual and soul energies latent within an individual, which are activated by planetary cycles at a time when one is ready to evolve in higher awareness and consciousness. These are times in one's life of major turning points and unexpected insights. The Yod is a true 9th House experience, because of its higher vision. It resembles the bow of the centaur with its 'Axis of Awareness' being the arrow awaiting its time for release towards higher spiritual truths. By "becoming one's Mission" ...in the end ..... nothing will be left of one's "private dreams" !
A Total Pain in the A*** ? !
Because .... if a Yod doesn't show up on your chart ... don't worry ... it just means that you have got a grater freedom to "experiment with things" in life ... "fate" is something you create yourself rather than it being like ... "predestined-one" ...breathing down your neck, giving you such a hard time in life until such time that you come to fully accept it.
Just a Lot of Astrological Nonsense ?
Could be .....
And besides .... is there such thing as a "predestined fate" .... ?
******************
However ....
If you do have a Yod on your chart, I do have a really good book: "Dynamics of Aspect Analysis" by Bill Tierney, which goes into details of each Yod configuration, and I can copy the interpretation of it for you .... if you so desire. All you need to tell me is the Apex planet of your Yod.

i was looking for something like that for a long time...
when i ignore the 50 words i dont know yet in this text...i would manly agree with this conclusion
..................

Name: thomas
December 14 1981
3:15 AM Time Zone is CET
schwerin, GER
Rising Sign is in 25 Degrees Libra
Very attractive and popular, your charm helps you to get your own way and prevents others from getting angry with you. "Peace and harmony at all costs" is your battle cry. You always try to ameliorate or to cosmetically hide any physical ugliness or any angry feelings between people. Flashy, but not gaudy, you prefer to dress elegantly. You generally have good taste in music, art and literature. Beware of the tendency to compromise yourself in your attempt to be agreeable at all times. A bit of a social butterfly, at times you can be vain and lazy. For the most part, however, you are gracious and affectionate, and your refined and aristocratic demeanor serves as a role model to others.
Sun is in 22 Degrees Sagittarius.
Very fun-loving, spirited and energetic, you have a huge reservoir of physical energy within you that needs to be released. As such, exercise or sports are very important to you. Quite gregarious, you enjoy being with other people, but you tend to avoid emotionally restrictive or intimate relationships. Constantly curious about the broader issues of life, you may at times be quite careless and sloppy about details -- you tend to leap to conclusions before all the facts are in. An avid reader, you are totally enthusiastic about any given subject should it interest you. You are known for being idealistic, generous, sociable, cheerful and very positive!
Moon is in 00 Degrees Leo.
You always want to be proud of yourself and will never do anything that will make yourself look bad. You need the respect and admiration of others and enjoy attracting attention to yourself. Everything you do tends to be self-emphasized and self-exaggerated. Very stubborn, willful and independent yourself, be sure to allow others who are close to you the similar right to "be themselves." Your need for love, affection and reassurance, and your tendency toward vanity, allow you to have your head easily turned by flattery. The more insecure you are, the more you tend to be a showoff. You love games and sports as a matter of fact, you would usually rather play than work. Be careful of a tendency to be snobbish and uppity -- it does not become you.
Mercury is in 23 Degrees Sagittarius.
Your mind is very curious and inquisitive, always seeking information on a wide variety of topics. The broader the subject matter (philosophy, science, religion, metaphysics), the more it will appeal to you. You prefer to deal with abstractions -- the small but important details associated with any subject tend to slip your grasp. You are known for being blunt, honest and truthful.
Venus is in 03 Degrees Aquarius.
You are a friendly and outgoing individual, but close relationships are difficult for you to maintain due to your fear that they will cause you to lose your freedom. You attract friends and associates who are exciting, different and sometimes a bit odd. You are popular with others and enjoy working within a group toward group goals.
Mars is in 29 Degrees Virgo.
Very careful and systematic, you pay great attention to details. You are always seeking perfection and sometimes get bogged down searching for the ultimate when adequacy would have been sufficient. You dislike abstractions, preferring whatever is practical, useful and demonstrable. You have a strong and enduring sense of personal responsibility, and you demand that others be as responsible and upright as you are. Very critical of yourself and others, sometimes you carry this too far and become overly intolerant of others and their right to choose their own lifestyles.
Jupiter is in 03 Degrees Scorpio.
You love to dig deep beneath surface appearances in order to find out what is really happening. A persistent researcher, you are very interested in the psychology of any situation. You tend to become overwhelmed by the complexity of what you uncover, however, and that makes you a bit gun-shy about explaining things to others. But you must learn to try to communicate as best you can because what you know is really very valuable to others.
Saturn is in 20 Degrees Libra.
Although you take quite a while to make decisions, you usually consider all sides to a question, all the pros and cons, and the solution you come up with is very often the correct one. You tend to be very reserved and shy, but, once you make a commitment to someone (in either a business or personal relationship), the partnership is forever. You have a strong sense of justice and fair play and greatly respect the laws and institutions by which you are governed. As such, you are outraged when others break laws or show contempt for authority.
Uranus is in 01 Degrees Sagittarius.
You, and most of your peers, have the tendency to think that all ideas, customs and traditions from the past are outmoded and irrelevant. You are attracted to radically new ideas, philosophies and religions that will, hopefully, cause sweeping changes throughout the world.
Neptune is in 24 Degrees Sagittarius.
You, and your entire generation, are heavily involved in investigating and idealizing foreign and exotic intellectual systems and religious philosophies. The most extreme ideals will be pursued with gusto. You will be at the forefront of humanitarian attempts to improve the lot of those who are in need of assistance. You will be comfortable with the concept of the "global village."
Pluto is in 26 Degrees Libra.
For your entire generation, this is a time of radical changes in society's attitude toward marriage and interpersonal relationships. There is a general fear and awe at the power inherent in making emotional or contractual commitments -- they will not be entered into lightly.
N. Node is in 22 Degrees Cancer.
You genuinely enjoy meeting other people, but you're at your best if you can do so from the comfort of your own home. You prefer others to come to you and tend to feel uncomfortable about leaving your home or neighborhood for any extended period of time. Those who do come in contact with you are struck by your caring and obliging nature -- you really make them feel at home. You form the closest ties, however, with members of your immediate family, especially your parents and children. You're at your best attending or organizing family reunions!

As far as Yods go, I didn't see one in your chart Zitter.
And because most of your planets and such were on the left hand side of your chart ... astrologically this is supposed to mean, that "fate" is very much something you have got the freedom to create in your life ... yourself .... in the now ... by purposeful "Intent Actions".
Had most of your planets been on the other side ... i.e. right hand side of your chart ... then it is supposed to mean "circumstantial restrictions" .... like say ... a physical handicap f.e.x. which could also mean a large inheritance .... and such like ....
