There has been talk of parasites on this forum and I wanted to share my view. I am an adherent to the "Nondualistic" perpective in which our
identification with these body/minds
we inhabit is the Genesis of Duality. We can experience awareness without identifying ourselves as the observer/experiencer but as awareness itself, but our
human evolution took another path.
Humans took on ego identification or separate identities as our collective path. This has brought about our dualisitc experience of life. Withis this paradigm,
parasites do exist and are just as real as I, John, am. The point is that I, John, am a fabrication. As soon as I identify with my separate existence I am
vulnerable to parasites, demons, etc.
There is value in ridding ourselves of these parasites, but there is greater value in ridding ourselves of our egos, where all problems originate.
Nondualism is an ancient philosophy that evolved out of Hinduism.
