Void - Emptines - Mu
#1
Coming from form through
sensing perceiving conceptualizing and ego/self awareness
tonal reality emergence

Tonal is the painting nagual is canvas

nagual is the night - the darkness - Tonal the day - the light
In the darkest darkness is the black Tezcalipoca
The original void that everything manifests from

Don Juan stress inner silence, because the inner conversation upholds the tonal.

You could open up to listening to the Spirit (first) then the silence in between an the sounds this leads to touching emptiness

the zen way is to relax more and more into what is, without the inner conversation going.
to reach samadhi - an AP of just being very relaxed awake and sleeping deep at the same time
It can be said that this is being at one with emptiness as ones mind is empty of thoughts yet it is full of what is (all around)
On a deeper state all that is around disappears as well - it is difficult to recall though, cos time also disappears.

A zen koan:
Does a dog have Buddha-nature?
A monk asked Zhàozhōu, "Does a dog have Buddha nature or not?" Zhaozhou said, "Wú".
("Zhaozhou" is rendered as "Chao-chou" in Wade-Giles, and pronounced "Joshu" in Japanese. "Wu" appears as "mu" in Japanese, meaning "no", "not", "nonbeing", or "without" in English. This is a fragment of Case #1 of the Wúménguān. However, another koan presents a longer version, in which Zhaozhou answered "yes" in response to the same question asked by a different monk: see Case #18 of the Book of Serenity.)

This very classic in Rinzai tradition koan points to the state of mind of emptiness - Mu:

Wiki on Mu

Meanings
Some English translation equivalents of wú or mu 無 are:

"no", "not", "nothing", or "without"[2]
nothing, not, nothingness, un-, is not, has not, not any[3]
[1] Nonexistence; nonbeing; not having; a lack of, without. [2] A negative. [3] Caused to be nonexistent. [4] Impossible; lacking reason or cause. [5] Pure human awareness, prior to experience or knowledge. This meaning is used especially by the Chan school. [6] The 'original nonbeing' from which being is produced in the Daode jing.[4]

In modern Chinese, Japanese and Korean it is commonly used in combination words as a prefix to indicate the absence of something, e.g., Chinese: 无线; pinyin: wúxiàn / musen (無線) / museon (무선 ) for "wireless".[5] In Classical Chinese, it is an impersonal existential verb meaning "not have".[6]
The same character is also used in Classical Chinese as a prohibitive particle, though in this case it is more properly written Chinese: 毋; pinyin: wú.[7]

This Mu is the dark sea of awareness.

Hmmm
This is coming away from void is it not? The thing is that the void is a feeling to reality, it is how I experienced Mu while meditating.
A few times in Dreaming and meditation I have been in a complete dark emptiness - another form of emptiness?

For me time is the essence of attention. I focus onto the world and see it in my attention. I see Toronto in my idea. I have an image and idea that is Toronto and whenever I think about it my attention reaches out across the void canvass and paints it into formation. It is this idea, this realness, that makes it real for me. I can sit and think about places and have them disappear in my attention. I remember creating a twin city of Guelph, and made it almost the same as the original. In fact I copied what |I knew of the city and al the places i didnt know i left blank. I remember seeing across the street out into the void nothignness. Someone had placed signs there reading "under construction". The company name was Urbicon.. Funny cuz they werent the ones making the city so the name was rather suiting.

MS, or anyone else doing these kinds of meditation practices... can you share some more personal experience?

I'd also like to know what kind of intents one sets before meditating when one goes for experiencing this void / emptiness / mu.

For me reality is a position of awareness. If, somehow, you can become aware of nothingness then you take a painted canvas of reality and transform it into nothingness. A clean stale.  Naked.

One way I do this is to realise that nothing exists yet until i make it so, or until i get there. Reality is not formed yet, it is formless, and it takes for when I give it form in my awareness. If I think something exists and give it realness in my awareness/knowledge, then real reality becomes. I am the energy generator. It is my intent, my awareness and my perception that forces alignment. When I realiase that everythign everyone has told me about reality is a lie, or a trick to get me to give it form, then it becomes my choice. It doesnt have to be a trick tho, it can just be someone else's dream. But I dont want to live someone else's idea. I want my own. So I tell reality to give me choice in the matter. It is up to me to decide what is 'out there' if anything at all.

To percieve the void.
1) consider everything you have ever learned is just social conditioning.

2) consider  as serloco said.
"One way I do this is to realise that nothing exists yet until i make it so, or until i get there. Reality is not formed yet, it is formless, and it takes for when I give it form in my awareness."
this is exactly true of all people.

3)consider that to see the void the aim is not to create anything at all, but is to prevent your awareness from effecting your perception of the void. so that the void itself can be the main creative force.

4) not aiming at serloco.. but in reality it is the most ignorant of people who believe only what they want to believe, and it is the most abusefull of people who deliberatly force their beliefs where no belief could exist naturally.
the void is one such place and it is utter madness to say " i characterise the void with my own personal energy/will and it still is the void."

5) The void is nothing and if we cannot see it, it is because parts of our own social conditioning in terms of perception has superceded our ability to aquiesce to it.

Its ridiculous anyway..

Sorcery is a selfish art and the habitual assemblage position is just plain selfish.
Our world is being destroyed through the selfishness of the habitual assemblage position.
and it seems that the initial jump to fluidity often happens as a result of a very habitual desire to be free of others will.
THE VOID is a great and wonderful thing
but an isolated individual accessing the void is a useless act in terms of the collective
WE need the species to access the void
and not just have some idiosyncratic and nihilistic hierarchy representing the same human issues.

I find it madness that there is any territorial claim at all on nagualism.. UTTER madness.

we need VOID access for the collective.
those who would deny its application to all are the real enemies of freedom.

the only positive thing i can say about such greed is that it happens the world over.
and if nothing else at least there is a fairly even scattering of problematic, egomaniacal witches and wizzards
naguals and nuahtls, nagals and nazcuals  demarcating a gridded earth we must move beyond.

the riddle of fear- is a ring so thin it is an atom thick band
and if we are not care full the moment we conquer fear we also step too far into sobriety.
the riddle of sobriety is as a such a memory of overstepping the mark
and to conquer sobriety we must use our totality to prevent that overstep from effecting our perception.
much like we would try to use not doing to counter social conditioning only instead use
attempts at void access to counter sobriety.

the riddle of death is an attempt to garner enough discipline so that at death we do not try to latch onto anything living
and so can slip past the eagle. in order to do this we must cultivate a pattern of non energetic attatchment in life.

i wonder how it was that i incarnated in the uk as white.
I imagine it seemed like a good idea to have such advantage.
but on arrival as protest i made less of that advantage.
for how could i pit my strength to success in this world
and still remain mayan in spirit?

it is with great sadness that i recount the times i have been discriminated against because of
my place of birth and colour of skin.
