What is the taste
of an empty cup?

Before you empty The Cup,  take some time to make a deep look on your cup.What kind of cup do you have ?
Some cups are dirty,
some cups have holes in it,
some cups are turned upside down,
some cups are even broken
and many cups are full of unquestioned intellectual assumptions.
Intellectual Zen or Pseudo-Advaita ( Negation of the cup and the perceiver or both ) doesn´t help very much to solve the koan. It stays on the material level.  The first cup to empty, is to silence the material brain.
There are many cups to empty , oh Saki bring me more Wine !
My tavern comrades vanish one by one,
Innocent victims of Deaths furtive stroke.
All had been honest drinkers , but all failed,
Two rounds before the last, to drain their bowls.

The suggestion was to empty the cups, to which I say, my cup being filled with beer....SALUD!

I say if you really want to express zen in a few words, just say;
The here and now..
