I was in the winter of my life, and the men I met along the road were my only summer.
At night I fell asleep with visions of myself, dancing and laughing and crying with them.
Three years down the line of being on an endless world tour, and my memories of them were the only things that sustained me, and my only real happy times.
I was a singer - not a very popular one,
I once had dreams of becoming a beautiful poet, but upon an unfortunate series of events saw those dreams dashed and divided like a million stars in the night sky that I wished on over and over again, sparkling and broken.
But I didn't really mind because I knew that it takes getting everything you ever wanted, and then losing it to know what true freedom is.
When the people I used to know found out what I had been doing, how I'd been living, they asked me why - but there's no use in talking to people who have home.
They have no idea what it's like to seek safety in other people - for home to be wherever you lay your head.
I was always an unusual girl.
My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean...
And if I said I didn't plan for it to turn out this way I'd be lying...
Because I was born to be the other woman.
Who belonged to no one, who belonged to everyone.
Who had nothing, who wanted everything, with a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn't even talk about it, and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled and dizzied me.

Was researching a visit to a Wolf Center where I live. Found these guidelines for a visit:

RULE: ENTERING AN ENCLOSURE
Wear only hiking boots, hiking shoes, athletic or fully enclosed foot gear. DRESS AS IF YOU ARE GOING ON A HIKE!
DO NOT WEAR:
• Fur (faux or otherwise)
• Suede or Leather clothing or shoes
• Anything with tassels, dangles, loose objects or decorations..basically anything that can be torn off of you
• Expensive jewelry, down coats, scarves, hats... anything that might be appealing to be stolen by a wolf
By wearing any of these items in an enclosure you MAY be at risk of losing that article of clothing or if a wolf becomes obsessed with an item, you may have to be escorted out. For safety reasons, no personal items in the enclosures (including cameras, cell phones and pagers).
Due to the potential risks involved in entering the wolf enclosures, you will be required to sign a liability waiver before you go on the tour. Unfortunately, we cannot allow persons who are handicapped mentally or physically, pregnant, have medical conditions and/or medical devices (e.g., oxygen tanks, walkers, canes, colostomy bags, etc.) or frail elderly persons to enter the animal enclosures. Staff will make the determination at the time of the interaction to determine if the individual is fit to enter the enclosure. If the ALPHA PHOTO tour has been prepaid, the money will be fully refunded.

As the search for mystical knowledge continues, I often find myself searching for places and people I've previously developed and blossomed into old-age with. I miss people I've never actually known in this lifetime, I love people I've just met, and have friendships that accelerate faster than any logical explanation could explain. I enjoy these moments, am grateful for them, and strive to find those who've made an impact in my life.
