I like Australia.
I've never been there, but I'd like to.
But I'm puzzled. Why to musical instruments from there only play one note?
The didgeridoo only plays one note. The yuvusula (or whatever they call those plastic horns that mucked up the stadium competition there) also only plays one note.
I'm not quite sure what comment it makes about Australian Peoples and cultures.

maybe that tone is what they feel either allows their spirit to travel to the dreamtime...or allows spirit to communicate with them. i lived in australia for over two years and there is remarkable difference between the tribes and what they believe about the didj....i believe the general opinion is that 'the spirit' lives in the didj.

Some tribes do not teach women to play, because of the stress on 'womb energy' and the belief it houses the male spirit and, some do teach their women to play.

this is only what i picked up while over there..no definitive answers here...

however i do know it has powerful effects when used as a tool for sound healing when played over the body, in the energy field....my experience is that it loosens the energy or dream body to journey or consciously 'dream'....nice!

All the people I have seen who play didjeridoos smoke wayyyyyy too much dope! They treat their didjeridoos like giant bongs
Hey, you inspired me to look and I found my medium-sized didjeridoo. I'm really good at making elephant fart-like sounds!
I can also do my impression of a dying caribou
