19 years post high school Harry Potter and the Cursed Child occurs.  It's a thought provoking what-if time travel adventure.  This is the reason why we don't play with time, but that being said, sometimes it's necessary.

Here's a brief snippet of where our favorite trio are at now:

[ In the opening scene, set during the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the year 2017, Harry Potter and Ginny Potter send their second son, Albus Severus Potter, on the Hogwarts Express to begin his first year at Hogwarts. Harry is now working in a desk job as the Head of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic, while Ginny is the editor of the sports section of The Daily Prophet. Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger also send their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley on the train. Hermione is now Minister of Magic, while Ron manages Weasley's Wizard Wheezes in Diagon Alley. ]

Did you notice that?  Are you surprised?  Hermoine is the Minster of Magic.  The Ministry of Magic, located in London, preserves magical law. An aspect of law higher than muggle law. She earned that position Smile Way to go Hermoine!

Her husband, Ron Weasley, runs a joke shop

One of the many reasons I love this series.  They're all fabulous!

A woman like that with a man like him.  Makes my heart flutter.  I can understand why she loves him.  He's pretty amazing.  Here's a bit about his career:

[ Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is a popular joke shop that started as a small school business created by Fred and George Weasley in the fourth book. It opened its doors at Number 93 Diagon Alley in the summer of the sixth book, using Harry Potter's Triwizard Tournament Winnings as starting capital. Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes sells joke and trick items, useful novelties, sweets, and Defence Against the Dark Arts items. The front of the shop is described as a fireworks display against the muffled backdrop of dull shops. Some of their products are U-No-Poo, Skiving Snackboxes, trick wands, spell-checking and Smart Answer Quills, reusable Hangmans, Daydream Charms, muggle magic tricks, Edible Dark Marks, Shield Products, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, Decoy Detonators, joke cauldrons, Wonderwitch beauty products and 10-second pimple vanishers, Pygmy Puffs, love potions, and more. The front of the shop has a sign advertising U-No-Poo: Why are you worrying about You-Know-Who? You should be worrying about U-No-Poo, the constipation sensation that's gripping the nation! ]

Oh!  If only this were all a real world!  It's like so believable when I'm reading it!

You know it's not polite to gossip?

Especially when the main dude you're talking about is working for the magical law enforcement. You can be tracked pretty easily and don't think it doesn't look suspicious how you know so much about the lives of people you presumably don't know. They might assume you're plotting against them so keep your eyes open. We wouldn't want to have to break you out of Azkaban now would we?

I wonder if Ron can sell this dumb joke in his shop... Maybe you can send me his contact details.

The great thing about the Ministry of Magic is that it's a glorious work of fiction.  I mean, no way there's a secret world of witchcraft and wizardry.  No way there's a secret government operating outside of the secret government's secret government

The main dude is the Head of Magical Law Enforcement.  It seems like a tight crew.  You know what, the Weasley name was known for being poor.  They were looked down upon and Mr. Weasley (Ron's pop) studied muggles.  That wasn't a popular choice at the time.  Skip ahead a  decade or two and Ginny marries Harry, he-who-beat-Voldy and is the Head of Magical Law Enforcement.  Ron married Hermoine, she who runs their entire secret government.  Fred and George are family names due to their ability to entertain the people of this secret world.

The Weasley's nailed it and came out on top.  For a family who did their own thing, were wholesome people, and were focused on keeping the light, they sure did well.

I suppose it didn't hurt that the Weasley's were members of the Order of the Phoenix.  What is that, you wonder?

[  The Order of the Phoenix is a secret organisation in the Harry Potter series of fiction books written by J. K. Rowling. Founded by Albus Dumbledore to fight Lord Voldemort and his followers, the Death Eaters, the Order lends its name to the fifth book of the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. ]

A secret order, within a secret society, ran by Albus Dumbledore?  Albus, leader of the light... keeper of secrets?!

And that's where Fantastic Beasts comes into play! Albus, the Master of F*ckery, is back! Albus.  Man of Mystery.  The greatest of all magicians

So in this unofficial world (of Witchcraft and Wizardry), exists an unofficial order (of the Phoenix) who eventually run the unofficial world (Ministry of Magic).  The official leader of this unofficial government (Hermoine) and the Head of Magical Law Enforcement (Harry) are loyal to Albus. Their unofficial leader (Albus) figures out the secret of life and returns as a great looking younger man, with the same genius mind, still hellbent on winning the war against the darkness.

You think any of that might be real?!  You crazy!

Why would Ron want you to call him?  He already knows he's the luckiest man in the world.

Damn straight he is... He married my childhood crush.
And of course he wouldn't want to call nor would he want me to call him but I'm a good seller and we can do business together if he likes my silliness it'd be fun. It won't hurt to try eh?

I don't understand why you don't think all that is real.
Me crazy? About time you people started finding out.

On topic: Great series. I'm excited for the upcoming movie as well and your enthusiasm is exhilarating.

I don't think it's real because it's all so crazy confusing. I just can't wrap my muggle brain around it all. So many details. The world can't actually be as complicated as this series. Maybe I'm just a muggle so I don't get it. Maybe I'm not woke enough so I can't see it yet.

A secret world existing right under my nose? And I don't sense it at all? I must have a super foggy brain!

If it's real then they're doing a super great job at it all. Carry on!

Ron will call when the timing is right Smile

Well they have those mass spells to make people forget stuff so I won't be surprised if you knew at one point and were "taken care of" soon after you found out.

I switched my focus to Hermione when I thought about it a bit so Ron isn't on my mind anymore. I'd rather have her call.

I doubt either will call.  They lead busy lives. That might change one day, but it's unlikely.

True, however, one day... Who knows I might learn magic like them and use it to turn the odds in my favor muhahaha!

That's what I had in mind when I saw your disbelief in the world of magic...

I was kidding when I said I didn't believe in magic. Obviously, I'm a believer in magic, magicians, and more.
