We've been designed to be sheep within a system and are being lead to slaughter.  Tragic, I know.

Not all though.  Some become free by manipulating the system and becoming self aware.  It's a profound path with many struggles.  It's not for everyone.  Even Neo struggled to leave the Matrix.  At least he had Trinity.  Not everyone has a Trinity, a Morpheus, or an Oracle.  Many choose to remain asleep and that's the power of free will.  The pull of slumber is strong.  Waking up is uncomfortable, painful, and isolating.  I'm trying to think of a good reason to do it but struggle to find one worth the sacrifice xD

It's worth it, but it's one hell of an admission price.
