The Art of Avatarism
#1
Avatars! We all pick a pic to represent the embodiment of self. Some select no self and leave it blank, which is a statement too. Some change theirs every decade or two. Some every century. Some every week. Sometimes multiple times a week. I'm a huge fan of multiples Wink

Now, everyone has a reason for choosing theirs and anyone viewing it has their own, possibly different, perception and experience of our initial intent.

What we interpret from an avatar is a reflection of our awareness. If we see a threat, it could be that or not. The intention of an artist may not be explained and so viewers are left to come to their own conclusions.

The beauty of art is that unless it is stated directly, the assumptions of the viewer are likely incomplete.

Feel free to elaborate on your avatar the symbolism behind it Smile

My current avatar (black and white wolf) represents divine union of two entities, coming together to experience power. The light and the dark unified to create harmony and perfection. I chose it as a reflection of myself because aren't we all a perfect balance of light and dark? A mystery to be revealed and seen by those who know the password to the doors of the secret society Smile

Art is clever, twisted, dark, light. Art is everything. I am everything. You are everything.

There is a lot of magic for me in the image of black and white, together. Some of my most amazing allies have this aspect in them. So, for me, your avatar looks / reminds me of things quite powerful Smile
