For over a thousand years Taoists believed that bonsai cultivation endowed the practitioner with magical energy.

So this year I am going big. I have started apox. 10 000 bonsai trees. I have more land already and have started the seeds. I will be getting my kiln this month and will begin firing pots. I have started seed sales on ebay, and will start my business website very soon.

Wow! I’m definitely interested, once your website is up and running Smile

You know my “mood”.....something of my strengths and weaknesses. Any suggestions regarding which kind of bonsai might best help nurture the spirit?

Bonsai - serloco - 04-01-2018

Oh I think any would suffice. The art itself is therapeutic and very rewarding. My website might be operational later today. Which seed would you be interested in sowing?

Bonsai - glance left - 04-01-2018

Hmmm...good question.  Let me do some research and see what resonates.  Be sure to keep us posted when the site is launched Smile

Website is now accepting seed orders. I have a few more varieties to add to the site but wont have those seeds until next week around.

So I planted approx. 10 000 seeds for this spring. Today I went online and bought an irrigation system. Still a few pieces I need to finish but lots of time. Funnyguy helped me with my website and so its much better now. Things are looking good.

Many years ago I fell in love with trees and plants. I discovered the art of bonsai and went to work. I went to school for horticulture and started planting everything i could find. I filled the school greenhouses with my own plants and many teachers even came to me with questions on growing. I learned a lot but the greatest thing i learned was that plants thrive when you give them love. I talked to my plants but didnt have much of an ear to listen. Many trees were reluctant to communicate as men have treated trees poorly. I, however, made friends with many of them.

Since then I learned better how to listen.

I then found sorcery and magic, miracles, and fears. I went on my journey and left the art of bonsai behind me for a few years. Before I left Ixtlan I commanded that no people would grow bonsai for sale in the area. I also commanded that people love bonsai and almost everyone i talk to would want to buy one. I held to the dream of being a bonsai master. I was not on good terms with my family then and so I had no free land to grow them on.

Today, years later, I am ready to begin my bonsai journey. The commands I made are still holding. There is lil, if any, competition and lots and lots of demand. I have, three years ago, started my first crop. Although small it is a very beautiful. I learned a lot from my test crop, and now I am ready to expand. I have a professional irrigation system, professional feeding station, and a huge crop stratifying for spring germination.

I feel so lucky to be where I am. I have well over 10 000 seeds ready for germination. If I sell each tree for 50$, once matured, then I will net over 500 000$. That is for three year old trees. The ones that dont sell will further mature and rise in price. I have a prosperous future coming my way. I do what I looooove. There is nothing like seeing that vibrant green lush growth on new plant life. Precious blossoms. Even the insects that pollinate them. I love nature so much. I dont work anymore. Those days are gone. I went to school to learn how to grow plants and trees, and now Im going to school to learn how to be a Master Herbalist. I will know how to grow and what to grow for any illness. I love learning about nature. The properties of every plant.

When growing up I would envy people who knew the names of the plants and what they did. I always dreamed of being so smart. Now I can walk around the country side, or parks, and identify the plants. I still have more to learn and course to take on plant identification, but I know a fair bit already. Every day I learn more. I am becoming the man I want to be, in the career field I want to be in.

I have had great difficulty in the last three years growing two varieties of bonsai, Laburnum and Wisteria. Both have beeeeautiful pendulous flowers. WIsteria purple and white, and Laburnum yellow. This year I have discovered the old secret for having a successful germination rate. I might as well say I lost my green thumb for a lil while. The trick is keeping the soil continuously drying out and rewatering again. If you do this then the soil will not get moldy or grow fungus. So now I have 7 flat trays of both ready to germinate in a couple of weeks. I really am trying to focus on flowering bonsai. They trully sell themselves.

So eventually, as i gain money, I will be traveling around the world doing shows, competitions, and work shops for learning. I want to be the master bonsai grower. My work will speak for itself. In this early phase I am scouting the plant kingdom for every tree that can be made into a bonsai and I am growing them. The end goal is to create a bonsai arboretum that contains one of every bonsai from around the world.

Root over rock is something I am going to dive right into. However, I will do something that hardly anyone ever does, and that is use gem stones instead of normal rocks.

In ancient times, it was believed that one could grow bonsai and thru that action attain immortality.

Bonsai - serloco - 04-14-2018

水 - Suiseki is the Japanese art of stone appreciation, which values aspects like stability, longevity and immortality. Formed through time by wind and water, stones can take several sizes and shapes, reminding us of natural objects.

Suiseki (also called viewing stones) are often placed on delicate wooden stands or trays, called daizas and dobans, respectively. The wooden stands serve to display the stones and create an image of harmony.
