Castanedan scepticism and chronologies - scout1 - 06-01-2012 Margaret Runyan Castaneda dies at 90; ex-wife of mystic author Carlos Castaneda's ex-wife believed that a key figure in his spiritual bestsellers — Mexican shaman Don Juan — was an extravagant fiction, drawn in part from conversations and activities the couple shared. Everything you see...your whole life....your sense of "reality"...your "story of you"...is an extravagant fiction. That's the "rub", mon ami...the punchline. Knowing this...getting a sneaking suspicion of it, at the very least...guides one, if one is very courageous and persistent, to find just exactly where the rubber meets the road...to explore that interface. Quit farting around CNN tripe, my friend. Neither you nor I have time for this ****, and you know it. I know you skipped on the opportunity to go with those sorcerers way back when...but *** all that. Water under the bridge. We still ALIVE. And as long as that's true, then the gig is definitely not up...as long as we're alive and kicking, if you know what I mean. Alive enough to act...to question...to persist...to investigate with our awareness...to intend. There is still a chance.....because that chance is always perennially suspended right beneath our noses. We've got this moment! Why...because there is something left within us which is able to be consciously aware of it....this moment. And that's the "cubic centimeter of chance", bra-sky. And it's huge....once we dive into it whole-heartedly. Castanedan scepticism and chronologies - Nagual LoneWolf - 06-26-2012 Nicely said in great warrior fashion Glance, Castanedan scepticism and chronologies - glance left - 06-27-2012 Castanedan scepticism and chronologies - scout1 - 06-27-2012 It is very easy to dismiss knowledge we dont have intersubjectivity in. That is the experience thereof. e.g. She theorized that Carlos came up with the name Don Juan Matus because of their mutual enjoyment of Mateus wine, which, she wrote, "he jokingly referred to as his most valuable teacher." Then Don Juan does not existed, as he was a wine.. This is a power of agreement in our worldview according to the intersubjectivity of social order. The same power of mechanism applies to the various conspiracy theories (and official versions), to the written history (e.g. Marco Polo was never in Asia, but he collected the various stories from the merchants), mainstream religious views, social and scientific ideologies and stereotypes. Probably, "don Juan", a hero of many novels, his original (yaqui) surname was not Matus, although this surname is as common as John Smith. His other names were Mariano Aureliano etc. Hence the working (stalkers) or sorceric name. Castaneda, Donner and Abelar had the same "version" anyway. This is the same case like burning people for the original scientific discoveries by Roman inquisition. You say the Earth is not flat, we will burn you and your books etc. Nowadays, the same applies on the reductionistic scientism and the so called "sceptics". However, if you look into the history, on the ancient Greece and Rome, the basis of our western culture, science and rationalism, people like Seneca, Cicero, Aeschylos, roman emperors and many others, rationalists and stoicists people took part in the Eleusina mysteries, drinking the highly potent psychedelic brew an equivalent of high doses of LSD. What was a "mystery" of ego death, rebirth (a new continuity) and "platonic" visions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleusinian_Mysteries So this scepticism is rather uneducated, primitive, disgraceful, non-scientific. As you see, this is not easy. This lack of intersubjectivity, or break up of continuity, or discontinuity, has costed many sorcerers their lives. === To adress the books, reviews at amazon are helpful Runyans book: Margaret Runyan Casteneda succeeds in little more than convoluting the mystery that already surrounds the secretive Carlos Casteneda. If you are hoping to glimpse the real man here, you will be sadly disappointed. One senses that Runyan-Casteneda hardly knew her husband (they were together only six short months), and it becomes evident she understands nothing of the man nor his life's work. Her perspective is simplistic, confused, and full of romanticism, nothing much concrete here, in fact, one comes away with the nauseous feeling that he/she has been fed a plate of pointless fluff, nothing is specific enough to be helpful. Neville Goddard is interesting.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neville_Goddard Amy Wallaces book: need not to be commented. I liked that circus. Stalking is indispensable method how to approach aprentices anyway, however, Donner commented that this "group" (Sustained action) was Castanedas the most stupid mistake. That was a total waste, loss of energy. Cleargreen is something else. Timothy Leary in Flashbacks: that memory of the author or the apprentice is funny. "The character of 'La Catalina' appears in Castaneda's first book, The Teachings of don Juan. In a very roundabout manner--some have said--this character was modeled after Dr. Leary" =)) http://www.umsl.edu/~thomaskp/cast.htm Richard de Mille: The inconsistencies of the books are like Marc, John, Matt and Luke. Or he was sitting in UCLA library... Now, put those books next to the book The Power of Silence 1987 by CC, what is a top book on sorcery and nagualism. Now, what should we believe ? I will post a practical, safe and deeply efficient method how to enter sorcerers world at once and for all, a method not explicitly present in CCs book per se. A formulation and modification of unbending intent. Sceptics called it an "unending intent" =) I remember myself speaking with a teacher, a philosopher, about intersubjetivity days before i have met sorcerers of nagual lineage. What kills us is our self-reflection. The social order adherence and belief systems === To address the chronologies. if You remember, the nagual woman was gone with Don Juan and it was not Carol Tiggs. That was the previous group of indians. Donner, Abelar and Tiggs was the second group. Patty Partin was not that blue scout. That was a circus. The last point in the chronology is the Death Defier, offcourse. And now.. you are dancing with devil ! Castanedan scepticism and chronologies - Guest - 08-21-2019 |
